Courtney Beavis isn't remotely f**king close to Kurtly Beale. If you are going to come up with a 'witty' insult then at least try a bit harder.

Yeah, surely we could come up with something as good as Kurtley IsItADoneDeal? At least it rhymes with Beale.

And from a rival Sydney club, plays the for Waratahs. Wouldn't be a too bad of a fullback.

Potentially an Origin class rugby league fullback. He's certainly got all the skills. In attack at least.

Also potentially a bad influence, liability under the high ball and massive waste of money.

But a good risk at the right price.

He's 26 in a month's time so he should in the peak of his career. If he can get his head on straight he can be a really good player. Being able to take a high ball can be taught, so I wouldn't be too worried about that part of his game.

I wouldn't mind him at $600k. Would mean that we can play him at fullback with Hoppa going back into the centres and it strengthens our backline a fair bit. We could also comfortably release Hunt and Morgan if he were to come.

Beale?

No thanks.

Massive off field issues and poor attitude at times on it. The club does not need more drama.

Wonder if Beale went to league if he would have the time to get into trouble. Seems with union there is a lot of travelling and not as much training compared to league which gives Union boys to much free time (especially with all the sight seeing and airport lounges). In league especially during the season Beale wouldn't have hardly any free time.

Beale would be 1/2 the price of Folou and worth a 2 year punt I reckon. That is of course if the chosen one is not coming back.

Beale's price would have dropped considerably after his recent dickheadness and also his failure to make the starting 15 for the Oz team.

He can earn more in France of course, but if he wants to stay in Sydney then he might not have much choice. Remembering that Des signed the other Morris.

Even league players get the time to mess up. Put him in the right environment where he has good influences. He came to my high school one year to do a speech, I spoke to him afterwards and he was very shy, probably a different bloke once he gets the grog into him. Maybe the hard-nosed attitude of BA will sort him out?

As pou said at the right price he's worth a risk.

That doesn't make sense. Parra has about the biggest fan base in the NRL. Parramatta is a thriving business centre - one of the main hubs of the Sydney metropolitan area. Why would an area like Canterbury have more rich and powerful supporters than we do?

if there's one thing dave smith is doing right, it is trying to instill more corporate savvy board members and corporate governance, look at the chooks for example, here's their board;

NICK POLITIS AM
Executive Chairman of WFM Motors

MARK BOURIS
Mark is Executive Chairman of Yellow Brick Road Wealth Management

SRBoard - Mark McInnes
CEO of Premier Retail (ASX..PMV) and Director of Premier Investments ( ASX..PMV)
Mark has over 25 years experience in retail , including in his former position as CEO of David Jones Ltd.

PETER NEWTON
Peter is Chairman and majority shareholder of All*-States Finance Pty. Limited
Formerly one of the largest and most successful backers of the WA mining industry and co-founder of Metals X Limited.

BRIEN SAMPHIER
Brien is the founder & Managing Director of B&B Electrical & Consulting Services Pty, Ltd. a specialist electrical company in the Coal Mining Industry

MARK FENNESSY
CEO of Shine Australia & President of Shine Network
Shine is responsible for brands such as The Voice, MasterChef, So You Think You Can Dance & Australia's Next Top Model.
He was previously Director of Nine Sports

LUKE RICKETSON
married to a waterhouse

all these blokes have access to a network of people that they do business with, or more specifically people that want to do business with them and have no interest generally in the sydney roosters.

now think of our board and consider how that compares?
