Yes. He may be better but will warrent top dollar too. Can we afford to have two back rowers in the twighlight of their careers on good coin. Wouldnt securing paulo and pauli be more viable options.

With Foran & possibly Beau Scott, for me, it shows that BA is definitely going after the 2016 Premiership and has great confidence in Sandow being part of it.

WOWWWW, hence getting Scott to be Sandow's Tony Carroll.

We can afford to keep Pauli Pauli on good $$$$, we just get rid of more dead wood in Wenty (top 35 etc) and keep bringing in cheap Holden Cup youth and from elsewhere.

The culture BA has brought to our club gives us far greater bargaining power because more players will now come to our club for less $$$$ just to be part of BA's winning culture.

Pauli will fully come into his own in a few years so getting Beau Scott for 2 years is a very smart move and is massive for our evolving winning culture too. If Scott comes on board, this will be a huge boost towards the Eels winning the 2016 premiership.

Was told recently that Foran's contract was $700k + $500k 3rd party per season + captaincy.
Anyone closer in on the know have any news on Foran's contract?

If this is true, then we can see why we are now competing with the Roosters, Dogs and Storm for ascendancy. Our cap will now have far more breathing space to produce a fantastic winning culture.

Wonder what Hoppa will be purchased for, if he is extending his contract a further 3 years?
Hopefully $500k per season max as our long-term centre.

Am salivating at the thought of Hoppa @ centre running off Foran.
Am hoping that we get him for no more than $500k p/season + 3rd party.

TBH, I'd try to re-sign Taka, and if that meant not re-signing Pauli Pauli, I could live with that. Happy to keep em both, one is a proven first grade centre/backrower, the other is a big unit who drops the ball a lot potentially going into a season with fewer available interchanges.

Not as good in attack though. It just comes down to what you want (or need) more in your team.

Keep both.

Folau, has a long way to go to prove himself.

His present lateral movements greatly concerns me.

He could end up in the forwards, another Pauli.

It's going to take a few years before we know the true value of Folau to our squad.

With Hoppa and Takka, they are both excellent attacking and defending centres. Simple.
These two ooze premiership material.
Folau has a long way to go before he is seen as premiership material.
Lets see how he handles the tactics smarter coaches will throw at Folau over the next few weeks or so.
