The SMH are saying the charges of supply have been set aside and will be dealt with at the end of the hearing. This doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as dropping or downgrading the charges (though that may happen).

Suspect that's more due to him not putting in then anything else. Pretty surprising he didn't get a run in the 9's but perhaps he isn't as highly rated by the coaching staff than he is by others (me included).

Forwards win matches,if they dominate than your halves get more time and room.And they give the attack more options.
Kind of why I think we will go ok this year.

Look at teams styles, most aren't that flashy-they just wear the other team down thru the middle than o the normal drills to score points. We have IMO good enough backs too win it.All depends on the pack!

I disagree, you need quality in your backline to win. Forwards create the platform, if you dont have a good pack your backline is relying in individual brilliance to win games and that is very inconsistent. If you have a good pack but don't have the backline to concert it to points you may win game throughout the year but during the big game in finals and the big moments during the season the quality players will come to the fore.

In my opinion you need a quality well rounded pack, but there are few forwards that can demand big dollars (Graham, SBW etc) that are genuine game winners. The big dollars should be for your match winners like Thurston, Smith etc.

Happens all the time! I recall this time last year (not here, but on a certain other Eels forum) people saying how Tanginoa was going to be an absolute wrecking ball and would carve up... then he got injured, released to the Cowboys and some of the same people started saying, "Good riddance, he's injury prone and too top heavy, won't be anything more than a depth or bench player at best, yada yada yada"

That's right, but the principle they work is that a pain killer notionally just allows someone to operate at their 'normal' capacity when inconvenienced. Probably bullshit of course (as you could argue that they improve endurance coz you don't feel the pain as much). Whereas, PEDs are argued to improve performance above what is possible without drugs.

I said our backline is good enough IMO. Hoppa + Semi are in the better half in the comp in there positions you would imagine.
Robinson without beeing a star will go ok and our two centres would be biggest concern but IMO will do just enough. They probably wont create too much on there own but given space and time and nice ball will finish was is infront of them.

He'll probably miss the world cup because of the 6 week suspension. The super rugby comp is so short that it will only leave him half a dozen or so games before the end of the comp. Not enough for a player who has just switched codes.

Being selected in the WC squad was probably the main reason why he chose RU over NRL.
