It’s all good. I can handle the whole sad panda thing. It’s just banter, differences of opinion I don’t take offence to it. Goodness knows my opinions are just my opinions never for one minute ever suggest I am always right.

That is all part of how we can evolve as a team. More inside balls to Edwards if used right the attack will follow
The problem he's parked on the right. Anytime he goes over to the middle or right and it's not a typical all backs taking hit ups set you can tell a play involving him is when you look up and spot him. He'll have to hide himself behind a player then swing over from his cover just before he gets an inside ball. But you still see him moving over to his cover.

For example Slater didn't have this problem because he's follows the ruck a lot so when the defence saw this it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Watch Edwards tries v Sharks and WT he follows the play up the middle when it's off the cuff.

It is only the structured stuff when he is stuck on the right. The back half of the year they seemed to concentrate on getting more attack on the right.

Often Edwards would be at right centre or wing and May would be fullback in attack inside the attacking 20

If he starts at centre he will have beaten Naden, Whare and Burton for the spot. I’d still back him to make a good centre if they do it permanently. A few games doesn’t mean anything. Kikau had a much worse gf, does that mean he can’t play in the back row?
If he’s still making those errors after a few months then maybe but I think he’d get a lot better there if it was permanent, not that I’m expecting that to happen.

I would love to get Salmon into the centre position. If, and this is a big if, Luai gets the call up for origin, we need another player, I think Salmon maybe the man. In the centres he will get some experience, so the transition will be easier.

I dont know much about him tbh. But I'd be going with Naden and Burton/Salmon as the next in line for this season while developing Tito and Cini and looking at one of them for 2022 and beyond.

Naden, To'o and Critta all debuted in 2019 and then were starters in 2020 and Brian and Critta will be long term starters for us. As long as we have the lower grades playing this year we will be able develop one of the young guys. The lack of NSW cup and NYC really is what has hurt our depth for this year. For 2021 we dont have the 2 or 3 guys we usually have who have played a game or two and are looking to start their careers. Having guys like Leniu and Heathro outside our top 17 requires us to be producing young players pretty consistently because players that good dont stay depth players for long.

Simply too slow

Given time to learn the position properly I think he could easily make up for that with his footballing smarts. The vision and skill he has would be an asset is any position. He just needs time to figure it out IMO.

Edit: The thing with May is since NYC at least he has been a utility player, and a very good one. He has never just been able to develop in one position. Im not saying its a bad thing but I think its something to keep in mind in regards to him playing one specialist position.

I rate him as a player but spped is an issue especially playing with To'o who's also not that quick
