He can't defend for the middle and make run metres as well. That's not to mention the spine as well if you overspend elsewhere.

The work fish Leota do goes a long way to allowing biz and edwards run for huge metres just like the backs doing early work in our sets allow our middles to spend most of their energy on defence. With fish gone already I’d lose biz before Moses. And I’d probably give up biz to keep fish.

I think the rumour is bullshit but the way some of you are already preparing for his loss with some wild mental gymnastics is pretty funny. Getting all your ducks in a row to drop the "he was never that good anyway" card. The shit happens everytime a gun leaves.

No doubt but we're talking overall roster balance and salary cap. If you spend big on a winger you are weakening another more important position. To'o can run as many metres as he wants but he can't defend for an average pack or organise and playmake for an average half.

He's the best winger in the comp and I'd cry rivers if he left but you have to be reasonable.

Edit: dunny part is I think Panthers can afford to spend a little more with such a settled roster and the new forwards coming through wouldn't be worth that much and likely a rookie half replacing Luai.
