Dykes to debut in local derby

For more than one reason it’s been a big few days for Kade Dykes, son of former Sharks star Adam and set to be the third generation from his family to play first grade at the Cronulla club

Good signing, we have truckload of players off contract end of 2023, which means comes November 1, they are on open market, I would take it most would be looking for $$$ on next contract.

Wow that is huge for two reasons.

1. The very fact he knocked back Bennett and Gould who carry huge reputations in the game.

2. That he wasn’t swayed by being guaranteed first crack at Fullback at each Club if he signed.

He is obviously not getting the same guarantees by re signing with us but I‘m assuming Fitzy has had a very productive chat with him that had given him the confidence that he has a big future at the Club.

If he turns out to have something at NRL level what a great asset to have for us next season that he can possibly cover any injuries to Kennedy or Moylan.

Loving it that talented kids in the Club like Dykes, Colquhoun & Hazleton can see the pathways, the plan and the direction Fitzy is taking the Club.

Nah dont rate him, doesn't seem to do much in the games for the Jets and Flegg that I've seen. He's young but he's not huge. Seems more in the honest toiler category than anything else. Nothing wrong with that but can't see him getting a first grade gig ahead of any of our middles. Not any time soon

100% agree. From what iv seen he is a long way off, not sure he will even get to NSW cup level to be honest. Hope I’m wrong.

Riccio was saying on Sharkcast, that Jordan Samrani is leaving off to Dogs as well, another talented youngster, can see Dogs cant develop a player

Just reading all the mess around the knights and Klemmer fmd what a shit show they are. I think it was Mr Angry that mentioned Klemmer would be awesome here and I 100% agree. He would be an animal in our pack.

Not sure about Klemmer. Good player, bit of an attitude issue though by the looks of it

then again he’s only 28 and highly experienced, if Fitzy could fix him up then I’d be all for it. Maybe he’d thrive in a good culture
