As much as I agree with the sentiment, this is his career. If the Dragons offer him the best deal and he convince him one of those wing spots is his next year, he'd be stupid to re-sign with Cronulla for less money and 2 rep stars ahead of him on the wings.

Of course if it were up to me I'd tell him that the wing spot is his to steal off Katoa long term. Katoa is off contract at the end of 2026 and I'd much prefer Stonestreet over a 29-year-old Katoa when the time comes but we also would be pretty stupid to give big money to our third-choice winger.

Funniest part is Lomax and Hunt both took serious pay cuts to get out of the joint and Molo agreed to give them some money back to leave. Then they sign Dads army (Gutho….Cook and Klemmer) and Val on overs (900k). Atko is the only one with age on his side but is unproven week to week. Let the laughs continue.

Aside from his dumb arse comments at the presser regarding Illias - he seemed to be in a good wicket at the dragons. Like Costanza at Kruger Industrial smoothing, no management whatsoever and he could go hog wild there.
But dropping clangers like that ain’t gonna help his cause. Dumb thing is I’m sure his team being his son, wife, manager, dentist etc - would tell him to pull his head in, but he won’t. If he lasts longer than the hook and Mary / I’d be surprised

Hook would not be type to rock the boat to much.

Flanno comes with baggage it will only take someone like Gutho to say that Flanno has lost it and drums will start beating.
Flanno is not normally one to give young guys a go so a few of them may want out.
