I know Dave Taylor is leaving but seriously do you really think you could accomodate Cronk under your cap with some of the high profile marquee players you already have? Cronk will resign with the Storm I have no doubt whatsoever.

We made Taylor a big offer to stay. That money is now sitting there waiting to be spent. Plus with our connections we can create a lot of 3rd party deals to add to his deal.

unless they have changed the rules, Souths can't get Cronk third party deals (apart from the 100k that is allowed under the cap per team) his manager must get the deals. and the deals must:

- not require him to play for Souths
- i don't think he is allowed to wear Souths merchandise in any advert either.

if clubs were able to source third party deals for players, the Broncos would never miss out on any player they wanted. especially with their corporate support and connections.

That answer was in reply to Willie. He said no comment in reply to Cronk. He could have just said "I'm happy with the squad" for Cronk too. But he didn't. The different reply is significant.

He said no comment because he doesn't want to look like a liar if and when we get him.

Taylor gone, Crocker gone, Asotasi one year left, lots of mid-level players gone or going recently. Plenty of cap space freeing up

Luke and Sandow came to us as nobodys. Luke is now a regular test rep for the team that's spanking Australia and another team thought Sandow was worth 500k. Sure he's crap but a lot better than the Toyota cup reject he was when we picked him up. Sam Burgess came to us a 20 year old, he's now one of the best forwards in the world.

Cronks career will continue to flourish if he picks us.
