Lolohea > Eels

We're not in the business of giving away our on-contract, highly-talented youngsters I think you'll find. The Eels have bugger all players with currency and I'm sure they'd feel the same way about the ones they do have.

And the Lurker couldn't find his buttocks with his bare hands. F*ckin useless. Stick to talking about sex tapes if you're reading fella.

 How much of an upgrade do you think they'll be getting?

Enough to stop other clubs cashed up from taking them.

You think losing Garbutt, Stagg and Lowrie gives you coin to upgrade your juniors AND buy top shelf front rowers from other clubs???? You are taking the piss or stupid.

I don't think you are taking the piss......

You wouldn't have the first clue where Brisbane are at with their salary cap  So don't pretend like you do

You have to upgrade your junior props. You won't be in the market for anything.

This and I really do hope we use the money to keep what we have. We have a lot of talent off contract that I would rather see us keep, and Bennett will only bring in what we can't cover with what we have and we have it all covered right now.

Dude seriously? We had to release Barba and Hoffman to be able to land Boyd, what world are you living in? Lets say we don't sign Lowrie and Stagg to new deals, and Hodges retires/heads to ESL which is looking more and more likely, Garbutt is gone, Vidot leaves and Whitechurch gets cut. Who do you propose we lose coming off contract this year in Boyce, Dodds, Joe O, Molo, Adams, Greinke, Kahu, Glenn, Thaiday, Molo, J Nikorima, Parcell or Drew? What about next year when Milford, Parker, Gillett, K Nikorima, Taylor, Copely, Gavett, Maranta and Wallace all come off?

We need to keep what we have, we have want we need to rebuild and take the team to the next premiership at the club right now, don't be in such a rush, we want to build a strong team that will last not buy a one hit wonder side.

Doesnt Bennett have a policy against spending big money on props?
What's big money these days though? 400k was big money not so long ago for a prop, these days 500-600k is the going rate for a rep level prop.

Yeah i just remember at the knights he was hesitant to take on Snowden because he had some policy against spending that kind of money for a prop, which is also why Civ left

Id imagine he's not in a position, nor does he want to be in a position to be spending money on a top line front rower. As you've outlined in the previous post, little money and lots of talent on verge of free agency

Yet you're clearly looking over Paul White's shoulder at the exorbitant figures Lowrie and Stagg are getting, which is about to free up mega dosh for the best young props in the game?

Give us a spell. Use the talent you've got now.
