I'm not sure i would start Allgood over Lussick.

I think the smartest move is to make sure one or the other of your top two props is on the field at any one time.

Why would you have your best two props start the match and then bring them both off and lose momentum?

The Cowboys tried Tamou off the bench a couple weeks ago, and that was probably why. They certainly lose plenty when he and Scott are both off the field.

Allgood is a powder puff, not even in Fui's class.

Given the importance of the wrestle in the modern game, it's not all about explosiveness, especially for front rowers. Allgood is a much better wrestler than Fui.

It's a reasonable point, but props making hit ups are generally setting up the next play, meaning the don't get to choose which way they go - they must play the ball at a particular point across the field. They can't run away just because they don't like the look of the defender standing opposite them.

I just think Fui doesn't move up as quickly as our other props, which is ironic given he is one of the quickest forwards at the club.

Agree. Fui's play the ball would be easily be one of the slowest in the competition, its snail pace like. Also needs to run between players not try to run over the top of them.

Lussick and Allgood are young enough that they should be better players next year. Fui is old enough that he should be worse.

We also have Mossop on his way and I don't think Sticky wants to play a front rower at lock unless he offers some x-factor in attack (e.g. Terepo).

There's no reason we couldn't go with three props on the field - it leaves more gaps around centrefield but improves the wrestle in defence. I just don't think Sticky will go that way, although he did play Mannah there a few weeks ago.
