This is why so many of us are up in arms about Keating!

The props have been doing a pretty fair job for the club since 2010.
After a couple of reasonable hitups, Matt Keating waits till the ball is played,
then he bends down to pick it up,
then he stands up again,
then he shuffles a few steps to 'commit' the markers
then he passes behind a forward to Sandow - and the defence is already right up in his grill and up on his outside men.

He really badly stifles our attack.

Keating is a problem with the attack but it's absolutely ridiculous to lay the whole blame on him.

I would not under rate the importance of good hookers. There was talk the other night on one of the NRL shows that the reason why the Cows are farked with the best 1/2 in the world AND K'roo props is because they lost Segyaro (sp) & Payne in one go.

His brother is a shadow of AF. Both use to be at the Tigers at one stage.

I liked the look of Samisoni Langi in that Tonga game looks like a handful can play at 6 or in the backrow.

It's also fairly ridiculous to go easy on him.

In a game where attacking success is very closely linked to speed of dummy half service, you'd have to start wondering. Especially when you consider that since he debuted, we've only made the semi finals once, and we were going like bustards that season until his minutes were halved and a 'quick service' dummy half shared the time.

It's not all his fault. But what is his fault, is his fault.

would Sticky want him after what he has done ?

He signed Gareth Hock an he's had a troubled past

Maybe a change is what Tamou needs? And a tough coach

The article suggests that Cowboys think a change from his comfort zone up north is what he needs. He apparently 'socialized' most in NSW camp this year and apparently didn't get back to the hotel till 6am in the morning. I don't think Stick would have any of that.

But I think sticky would be enquiring about a possible release from Cowboys if they were willing

Unless there's something we don't know, the Cowboys are stupid to get rid of Tamou.

I'd have him in an instant.

Yeh, maybe. I guess the difference is that Hock largely (potentially) harmed himself, and Tamou potentially harmed anyone who was in the wrong place. Would still be for it if the guy is serious about sorting himself out.

possibly

I guess we shouldn't be too choosy atm

he'd be cheap at least

Yeh and it's all up in the air anyway and depends on where he wants to go and what cowboys want to do. But I wouldn't be surprised if Ricky gets in touch with a tamou to see where his head is at

It's not so much about what Blair is willing to accept (he'll stick to what he is currently promised....why not?)....it is how much of that amount Wests are prepared to eat. If our share ended out being 300k or so, that's a fair gamble given the size of next year's cap.

Don't agree BOS, not a good gamble at all for 300k. Who ever takes him, with the exception of the Storm are taking on a gamble I consider having 10 to at best 20% chance of success in my opinion considering how badly he has performed.

What I think many people here have either forgotten or never noticed at all, is Blair even at the Storm had periods in his career where he just was plain lazy and went missing. But the Storm being the Strom, if you have ability, will force even a lazy player into playing to his ability. We at this stage definitely are not the Storm.

Neil Henry is on borrowed time.

Sacking tamou could probably take the focus off the coach in the short term.

Just sayin.
