Honestly for his career it would be a good move. I don't think his body is up for NRL seasons anymore. I think the ESL should be a touch easier on his body. Might even be able to get Jake to come with him.

Pretty happy with this appointment tbh. He’s got experience as a head coach, doesn’t come with the Moses drama and knows the club from his playing days but is also far enough from it that he can be objective without the old boys bs.

I was hoping we’d sign him. Was a bit worried when I heard the media talking names like Green, Dean Young and McGreggor.

you are entitled to your opinion. Reality is none of us know. Appointing a HC is a crap shoot unless you are getting one that has proven it over and over - and even then it’s still a bit of a crap shoot.

I tend to agree though that the pickings are slim so why not take a risk and try something left field. I wanted Cheika for Parra for that reason tbh.

Newie can't go much worse...I see very little difference between Holbrook and AOB honestly. Two highly rated assistants who flopped as head coaches, in a long line of them recently. Holbrook's one saving grace is that the Titans are literally pointless and I don't think any coach will ever change that

Cheika is going to be doing his second stint as an assistant at the Roosters. Just like Holbrook did (as he was an assistant prior to him going to the Gold Coast).

Flopped as head coaches? Holbrook has succeeded more than failed as a head coach and actually has head coach experience, at any level, unlike AOB did before the Knights gave him the NRL gig.

I think other clubs are calling Melbournes bluff. Pezet can then get out of his contract given Hughes signed on longer and that's his out. Just being loaned lets Melbourne have there cake and eat it too.

I'm sure if Pezet wants out, clubs will move on players to make cap space appear.
