Sam Healey , son of Sharks’ stalwart Mitch , would be a good fit at Manly or the Bulldogs . Signed with the Warriors until 2027 though and the Warriors’ would be crazy to let him go as Wade Egan seems miss a lot of games through injury.

Can pair him up with Adam Dykes son, and together they can emulate there dads.

Hopefully with Warriors have some success with bringing through players like Harry Inch via McFadden’s development pathways. There seems to be a dearth of halfbacks and fullbacks over there. Plenty of talented 2nd rowers though. Shame Gus’ efforts with the Warriors were scuppered by Covid.

Broncos may be interested

Eels or raiders could really use him. Playing along side Moses could be a weapon

May stay at storm if Papps leaves and maybe Munster to fullback or Perth bears

lol what are the eels thinking

Great get for the broncos after all the qld juniors the storm have gotten

“North Queensland, Parramatta and Canberra were thought to be leading the race for his services but it appears as though the Broncos have come in with a late bid that has trumped them all.
As part of the deal, this masthead understands that Pezet is in talks over a move to the Eels for one season to play alongside Mitchell Moses ahead of a likely switch to the Broncos for the 2027 season, when Reynolds is expected to have retired.
The plan would be for Pezet to slide into the No.7 jersey and play alongside Ezra Mam in a spine that also features exciting fullback Reece Walsh.
Jonah Pezet.
Jonah Pezet.
if the Broncos can finalise a deal, it shapes as a huge coup for coach Michael Maguire less than a fortnight after he led the club to a stunning premiership.
Their victims on that occasion were the Storm. The imminent loss of Pezet heaps more pain on the Storm given the club and coach Craig Bellamy did their best to convince the 22-year-old to stay.
However, Pezet ultimately decided his career would be best served elsewhere, a decision which will have ramifications not just for Melbourne, but also potentially the Perth Bears.
There was a school of thought that if Pezet stayed, the Storm would consider giving Cameron Munster permission to speak to the Bears ahead of their addition to the NRL in 2027.
However, any hope the Bears had of signing Munster for their inaugural season would appear to be gone given Pezet’s departure.“

Thats a real weird move by Parra, I would think the only reason youd sign a young half on a 1 year deal knowing he wont be there the year after is if youre in a Premiership window.

Ryles refused to play Brown all year cause he wouldnt be there the next, how is this different?

Awesome get for Brisbane though. Madge continuing to prove he doesnt want to develop players. Not a shot btw, guys has realised his strengths/weaknesses.

Maybe Parra have a half coming through that they see as their long term? Still an odd signing for them IMO.

A very odd move by Melbourne too if I'm honest.

why would bears be affected by pezet going? neither him or hughes play 5'8.

it's wishart who would likely take over from munny, not pezet.
pezet was hughes back up.

brent read stays being a dope

Are we going to make a play for metcalf or purdue who become available in a week. If so maybe that’s why we are going to agree to such a weird move.

id rather metcalf or purdue who seem to be more what we are looking for than pezet. Or if might give time for Joash or someone else to be ready for first grade.

Wonder where this leaves Coby Black. He is still way too green for first grade, might stay another year or two learning from Reynolds.

Plenty of clubs who want a halfback. If Coby sees his path blocked, I could see someone tempting him away with less competition in front of him. He is only signed till the end of next year. Opporunity is everything. Maybe Bears?

Munster was going to fullback so Pezet plays six at the storm assuming Papps is going to r360

He got tired of waiting for them
