I wonder what constitutes "explosive documents". I like to think they are actual pieces of paper that burst into flames violently.
If you think that's mental then wait till you see the pictures Blake Solly texted to Abdo to get Haas over the line at Souths.
How do we know this isn't par for the course for all the club execs?I mean I'd argue that there should be sufficient boundaries in place to make it clear that even asking that is well across the line.
But tbh my sort of eyebrow raise is more that the Storm feel comfortable straight up texting that shit to the NRL CEO. That's mental

Maybe it isn't but it wouldn't shock me if it was.
Interesting that it’s presumed normal for one club to ask for sanctions against another club if they can’t get what they want. Bit surprised that anyone thinks this sort of request is considered anything less than interference and against the spirit of the whole game. How do we know this isn't par for the course for all the club execs?

It’s what the Melbourne Scum’s write their player contracts onI wonder what constitutes "explosive documents". I like to think they are actual pieces of paper that burst into flames violently.
We can all guess another club exec who’d have no qualms about doing itHow do we know this isn't par for the course for all the club execs?

Well if 1 copy explodes they have a second version somewhere based on their past historyIt’s what the Melbourne Scum’s write their player contracts on

Appears that way if reporting is correct. What the f**k?
So we have a club asking the NRL to pressure another club to agree to a deal that benefits the first club and not the second.
That's.... something

To have an owner or CEO of a club message the governing body for assistance to put pressure on another club to release a player that has signed a contract that he no longer wants to play rugby league, surely that calls into question if they are 'fit and proper' to holds such roles in the game.
That would be soooo Last Year.?I was going to change my name to "Next Year?" but after reading the last few pages of the thread I don't want to cause any trouble.
We obviously disagree about the ethics of a good execNot really , it shows he’s being a good exec for his company. Abdo/PVL on the other hand

To me it's about what club owners and CEO's ask for. If say cap relief for their own club, even if it's a bit dodgy, I get it that you push the boundaries to get an advantage. But to request the governing body to penalise another club because they won't release a player to you because that other club feels they have a binding contract, well that's another thing. The CEO of the club asking is fine. They can ask whatever they want. The problem is if it's actually acted on, which PVL did coming out in the media.

Coming from the Penrith fanI've gotta assume some of the blokes in here were the product of unwed single mothers.
