Realistically Glasby is replacement for Lillyman who did not give us much and unless we sign a couple of big boys then we will be depending on JSaf being ready to go and using King. We probably will have to use Guerra, Fitz and Barnett at 13, 12 & 11.
If it all sounds a bit sameish that's cause it's virtually what we had last start to season without Hetherington.

You do realise that he can't put a gun to their head and force them to sign contracts. Some players out there just have no desire to play for us. That's not Browns fault at all

You cannot sign what is not there. You cannot sign what does not want to come. We're throwing overs, and players are still not wanting to come. That's less to do with the coach, and more to do with living in Sydney, and third party contracts. It's an uneven playing field.

Do you believe throwing away the coach and bringing someone else in will suddenly make players want to sign? That's ridiculously naive.

Does Brown want 100% of the playing group to love being in Newcastle and buying into the culture, or is he happy to settle for 90% and hope that the other 10% don’t white ant what he’s been trying to build here?

If he is chasing 100%, is that really an achievable figure, or will he lose some of the existing player group while he waits for the ideal candidates?

I'll support him for as long as he's doing a good job with the things that are under his control.

as far as how long we can use the 'gelati', we can use it for as long as it's relevant. I hate it, but it's true.

9.2 million is the salary cap. TPAs aren't under that.

Right now I would take any big bad prop even with bad culture, sign him up and try to make him fit in otherwise it might be continuously missing out. It's a risk but might also be a necessity.
