the telecrap reporting Roosters have tabled a huge offer and want an answer by May.

I think he'll end up at the Wabbitos with the myth but I'd love to see him in the red and blue. We're missing a TPJ, JT or Kapow type player.

So who is that Canberra 11? I would love to see him play as our lock. So dynamic. Really liking Glasby who so solid but bringing on someone so dynamic will change the shape of our attack during the game.

Was hopeful that Ross would make it back, good back up and would be nice to go out when he wanted rather than injured.
Hope we utelise cash surplus for right buy, Buhrer can go but if Griff makes it back would like to keep him, he offers a bit, SKD might struggle 2020 and Woolford and Hunt are wait and see

I'd throw all the cap space we have left at TPJ.

Pity Ross has to retire so early... Such a short career... Does he have a job lined up at the club or anything? Or back to the mines for the lad?

Id hang on to the money from Ross for now and keep an eye out for someone coming on the market - even if that's a short term signing with options.
Our needs for this season might change due to injury or form changes There are often players who are looking for an out from their current club during the season.

I agree, we’re looking a little skinny in the outside backs and we don’t know how Moga’s knee will go long term either so I hope that Brown is keeping an eye on the player market for an outside back.

Dont we have Bradman Best and a few others coming through from that goodFlegg team.?

I mean it has been lean times but there are well documented reasons why we lost a generation of good junior talent. But we have always been a player development club first and foremost and surely we need to look there first, take a few punts and then go hard at one or two more elite players?

I still think we need 2 more good forwards and maybe an outside back depending on how some of the older lads aim up this year...

I don’t want to be paying overs for TPJ, he was brutal against the cowboys and then went missing last week. No way would I be paying more than Klem for him

I agree wholeheartedly, we have Star Toa and Bradman Best on our books and when an outside back position becomes available in our FG squad, we should be giving those guys an opportunity. If they don't kick on, sure look outside the club, but we owe it to our juniors to give them a crack.

Definitely. Some worry about throwing them in too young. I generally don't buy that anymore considering the squad we have now.

I agree with this. We are now in a position where we have considerable experience in the team and if we need to we could handle developing a player in the team.
That's provided the current guys do their job.

Unfortunately our stronger young players seem to be forwards Fermor and Jones, and we are fairly well off but our backs don’t quite seem as strong with no outstanding young player. Hopefully those young guys in reserves come along and develop this season.

Star Toa and Bradman Best are both outside backs. Both just played for Australian schoolboys in their tour of England, where Toa was the best player of the tour. Both spent most if not all of the preseason with the top grade despite Toa being 18 and Best being 17. I'd take either of them over Jones any day of the week.

Bit soon for them at the moment even with a solid team around them, next season or so they should/could be right, was mainly looking at our young guys coming through reserves.
Jones has been with us a few years now but plays a position currently strong at club.
