KNIGHTS SIGN BEARS HALFBACK
Journeyman halfback Jamal Fogarty looks set to join the Knights after a fine season for the Burleigh Bears.

Fogarty, 25, won the Petero Civoniceva Medal winner as Intrust Super Cup Player of the Year, as well as the Bears' Player of the Year.

A former Australian Schoolboy, Fogarty hails from Beaudesert in Queensland and has played a couple of top-grade games for the Titans.

He is likely to be in the mix for the five-eighth spot outside Mitchell Pearce in the Knights backline next season.

what's Levi supposed to be on ? 450K ? That's waaaaay too much to be paying someone as a back-up hooker.

If Brailey goes down with injury we have plenty of cover for him.

It was frustrating with Brown this year. Instead of promoting a player to first grade to fill a void he would constantly shuffle the entire team around and in the process weaken several positions.
Who should he have promoted to fill our spine problems?

One of the biggest problems this year was the constant chopping and changing of the spine. We had basically no consistency in the 6 and 9 positions all season thanks to that. I would like to see O’Brien make a call and stick to it. Yes players in those positions will play bad games sometimes but we need to stick with them long enough to give them an opportunity to get with others in the team rather than coming in for a week or two then being dropped or onto the bench etc.

... and that inconsistency began in the preseason.

If O'Brien can teach Connor Watson how to run and pass at speed we've got our ready-made 5/8. He has all the other attributes (i.e. speed, strength, awareness, good defensive technique).

Haven't really seen him kick though...

But if Bailey kicks, we have three options in Pearce, Ponga and Bailey so no probsnif our 6 doesn't kick.

Both halves should at the very least have a decent kicking game. The only top team this year with a 5/8 that wasnt so great at it was Souths - Cody Walker. Averages around 112 mtrs per game.

Joseph Manu? What we think of the lad?

Criminally underrated. Just what our team needs but if the rumours about Latrell going to Souffs are true there is no way the Roosters will lose him.

Still might be worth a shot since O’Brien would have worked with him at the Roosters though.

Speaking of rumours, I heard on the radio there's two clubs making big money plays for David Fifita...Souths, and the roosters

And c
To be fair Souths have lost GI, Sutton, George Burgess and potentially Sam.

And the Chooks lost Ryan Cross in the mid 2000’s so there’s several million freed up for them.

And Cooper cronk
And latrell if you believe the rumours south's have him locked up

Agreed- but at what price ?

Could be the greatest forward of his generation - but at this stage is he worth 1 million ( or anywhere near it ) the media is sprouting about ? Is any forward in the game worth that much ?
