Rumoured Targets 3

I like what we're doing with the outside back depth, Tuala, Shibasaki and Roberts Davis would be on bugger all but all 3 a quite young, have some first grade experience, all 3 were highly rated juniors and at the end of the day it's much easier to find a diamond in the rough in the outside backs than any other position, it also ensures we never have to see Kurt Mann on the wing ever again

Standard supercoach play. Spend up big on your forwards and spine, but look to mid-rangers or rookies in the backs

Beats me how Roberts Davis gets a shot over Soper Lawler. He was rubbish in the nines and trial.

Apparently he can play a few positions. So can I, doesn't mean I'm not shit at all of them.

Sorry for not sourcing correctly.

Having all sorts with my phone.

By the way, I agree Slots. Was he the one standing outside the stripe collecting a pass?

With the hands, and skills I saw in the 9's and trial, he will be good for a few drop balls running the ball out of our try line after kicks.

Hymel Hunt was the one catching the ball with his foot in touch. TRD was the one dropping tough passes (that you’d expect a “specialist winger” to catch) and getting caught in no-man’s land in defense.

I can only think a consideration for TDR maybe aerial ability ? he's big tall fella and new rule changes this year should see Pearce kicking to guys like Lee more often than not.

After Lee ( wing ) , Moga ( centre ) and Hunt ( centre/ wing) TDR ( wing ) is our tallest along with Tuala ( centre ) .

Wing is crucial these days to get the sets off to a good start coming out of our owne end. We're pretty light on specialist wingers. No big heavy powerful wingers in our line up which is a concern.

That is probably the theory behind it.

But.........

Even if 8 feet tall, they still have to be able to catch. Be nice if he gains that skill.

Doubt he sees much top grade.

You can pull all the facts out, height etc but ability is what counts, rather a under 6 ft that does it all than an over 6ft that can’t catch etc, I have my doubts.

They didn't even make a teaser video for it so probably not very exciting. Randall signing a development contract would be my guess.
