The media are just literally just making up narratives as they go along, such is their desire to either make us look hopeless or demonise us in some way. You’ve basically got journos saying things that are in direct contradiction to what they’ve said recently.
When we’re letting players go or tapping them on the shoulder and letting them negotiate with other clubs… it’s talked about like it’s a mass exodus where players want to leave and we can’t retain them.
Whenever we miss a signing, we’re hopeless and can’t attract players and KP will leave to pursue a premiership elsewhere.
Then we pull of a coup by signing an elite playmaker and now the coach is a horrible person because he’s hurt the feelings of a fringe first grader, and KP is upset because he’s not on a 10 year deal, and the club has ruined its salary cap for a decade and the whole club is a mess and completely mismanaged.
It seems like we can’t get into the good books with these “journalists” for whatever reason. So at least this time it’s because we might actually be in danger of turning into a successful club rather than the opposite which has often been the case. I don’t mind KP being a bit snippy with the media, the whole thing over the last few weeks has been an absolute shit show stirred up by people with agendas. I kinda hope it gives the players a bit of a siege mentality which could galvanise them.
