And Fogarty is a 31 year old halfback rather than a 34 year old centre. Jamal has made probably less than a third of what Dane has in his career too.

The Fogarty situation could so easily come back to bite the Raiders next year. Obviously they’ve way outperformed everyone’s expectations this year. They’re looking like a really good chance of being in the GF or at least a prelim at worst I reckon. But you then lose the bloke who steers the ship next year and I wouldn’t even rule out the Raiders flopping and missing the finals next year. If he goes on to play well at Manly and the Raiders have a hard time without him, then it looks like a really stupid decision imo.

He’d be a good get for us. Probably walks into our top 17 if not the starting prop position vacated by Leo.
