Given when he re-signed, I'd say he's on a little bit more than Cornish (wouldn't be much more) but that's enough to put one in the Top 25 and the other outside it. Just guessing though.

Why would Cornish leave one club where he probably could've got a second tier deal and little chance of a start unless injuries, for a second tier deal at another club with little chance of a start unless injuries

Probably depends on what bonuses/match payments were offered at each club, and also what he was told by the Raiders as to where he stood in the depth chart. We don't know how keen the Raiders were to retain him.

Because raiders offered him nothing, not even a second tier contract.

The only player that can replace Foran is another player that has a kicking game. Our fullback can't kick, peats can't kick, Edwards is pretty shit at it. Pretty much the only option is Cornish. If we go with any one else, Norman is going to be pressured big time as the opposition will know he is our only option.

Shhhh. Normy can't really kick either.

For this week against it has to be:
6. Edwards
7. Norman
...with Gower onto the bench. Gower's inclusion will add more to the 17 against a tough pack, than bringing in Toutai and shuffling the backline around.

If Cornish, Taka or Gutherson are medium-term replacement options, consider it after the week off for the rep round, and then train for the next game in advance.

Are you suggesting treat it like foran went down in the warm up?
Essentially yes, for this week... but without Gower having already played 80mins for Wenty.

We smashed the Dogs in the forwards last time, we need to maximise our forward strength and skills again this week - which means Edwards into the backline over Toutai (sigh) or Cornish (NRL-level defensive liability?), and everyone else can play their normal game instead of shuffle around.

Yep, we need to be defensively focused this week against the Dogs.

Gordon and Peats/de Gois are just going to have to take the occasional kick, with CEO taking the five-eighth role.

So shuffle the pack and backline even though we have an NRL experienced half in Cornish waiting for a crack???

There is the option of playing Nelson in the halves.
He played a couple of weeks there in reggies after they lost Kelly.

We wouldn't lose anything in defence though I am not sure what his passing game is like and whether he can kick. He is probably top 25 though so we don't lose a cap allowance.

Also, who gets the (c) with both Foran and Mannah out - I reckon Beau "80 minute" Scott should get it as I am worried about Norman's tendency to argue with the refs.
