The difference at this point of time is that we are challenging the NRL's ruling / punishment regards those TPA's, and that being the case can't simply pay whatever and then turn around and say it's not to be included in our cap, or visa versa.

Effectively in that regard we are crippled until such time as the NRL hands down it's final determination.

The NRL might not yet know about this one, especially if it's only been promised and not yet paid.

The point being they haven't as yet. So until they do, we are stuck in salary cap limbo.

the problem remains, TPAs are supposed to be between the player manager and the so called sponsor. So if that's the case, it's the player manager who would be held repsonsible. Now we all know that at every club there is an element of guarantee. Thanks to the NRL, Greenberg, Seeweed and the emperor it's almost impossible for the club to get involved as money itself is not a problem for the club

Greenberg is a terrible head of the NRL, faction driven moll that he is.

With the board suspended etc, the NRL has inevitably created the position we are in. A rich club that cannot use its resources, oh well that's what other clubs want and the NRL has assisted

I'm not saying they aren't to blame, no. They have most of the blame in this, but not all of it.

If all was fair, then here would be no problem in similar investigations taking place elsewhere. What I was really ticked off about, was Greenturds statement that all other clubs were above board, if you or anyone else has contact with players, you would know that was garbage. He would know that too from his time in club management

Always good to get a response, the way the NRL leaked to the press to strengthen their punishment is still something that needs to be answered

Then again I think Shorten, Plibasek et al should never be allowed to govern this wonderful country, so the lefties can hammer my view too

A 34yo punched a 16yo ref in a U12 game. :crazy:

A junior rugby league trainer who allegedly punched a 16-year-old referee during an under 12s game in Sydney has been suspended.

Cronulla Junior Rugby League general manager Nathan Waugh says the trainer has been stood down immediately and banned from all rugby league grounds in the Sutherland Shire.

The 34-year-old trainer will appear in Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday and a rugby league judiciary hearing at a date to be set.

NSWRL CEO Dave Trodden said such behaviour had no place in any junior sport.

"The protection of our referees is paramount and we can't, and won't, tolerate any behaviour that puts into question the safety and protection of our match officials," he said in the statement.

The incident occurred when the teenage ref ruled the trainer's son be replaced after an incident during the game.

The ref suffered bruising and was taken to hospital to be checked out.
