Most clubs probably pay them a big chunk outside the cap.

Might not. Depending on the side assembled he may well stay.

I think it would all depend on what other clubs are offering rather than how competitive our side is. If they're offering more than the value of his option he is likely not to take it up.

With all our TPAs counting under the cap none of them are good value.

At what price would you take Hayne back?

$650K pa for a 3 year deal - the money we wee going to throw at Norman.

But Hayne won't want to play five-eighth, he never liked playing in traffic, and his choice of NFL position and Rugby 7s continues the theme.

So if we spend Norman's money on Hayne, so we might lose French and will probably need to buy in someone to partner Foran, unless Taka can make a go of it there?

Hayne's not worth it imo. The Club doesn't owe him anything (probably the opposite is true), and he's now two years out of form.

Hayne is a legend and would love him back. But Norman would be cheaper I reckon and Gutherson / French both have potential to be very good fullbacks.

Actually reckon chasing Fifita ( who was rumoured to be of the outer) and keeping Norman would give us a better balanced side.
