I read it as a little dig as well, pretty poor after all the club has done for him.

To be honest, if you had a choice between the media savaged and highly critiqued Eels or the under the radar and away from the media exposure Raiders, then who would you choose?

Also, he appears to have gone to a club who's players understand the importance of winning the play the ball area more than he's previous club's players do.

All that's fine, but why the need to have a dig???

The club could of let him rot In reserves for the rest of the season if it wanted.

He want to go and we gave him the release, no need for the dig. Shows a lack of class, well he'll be in good company with his new coach I suppose........

Having seen the interview on TV, I think the 'dig' was more of the fact that the club had a lot going on at the moment and he was better off being out there. I don't blame him to be honest.

seeing he started one of the bad headlines himself i don't see how he has the moral high ground to go pointing fingers at anyone

True, and with the amount of times you were kicked out of English class they had to put a revolving door on the classroom...

Remember I think it was year 10 when I had to spend a whole term out of the classroom (every lesson I had to sit outside the deputy principles office) because the teacher wouldn't have me in his class?

That was awesome, stupid teacher gave me exactly what I wanted.......

so if we are somehow still over and have to lose more players then lucky there's a club well under the cap that can afford them

Semi has shift to Broncos on cards

Wayne Heming | 7th Jun 2016 8:00 AM

Fijian wrecking ball Semi Radradra could be on the end of Brisbane’s backline next season should salary cap cheats Parramatta be forced to unload any more of its star players in 2017 and beyond.

Brisbane could be in the market for a high-quality outside back next season with rumours it might lose young winger Lachlan Maranta to the rival Reds and possibly classy utility back Jordan Kahu, reported to be considering a return to New Zealand for family reasons.

Radradra is contracted to Parramatta until 2018.

But given the club’s precarious position both financially and under the NRL’s salary cap, it may still have to offload players next season and Radradra could be one of them.

The club recently pensioned off former representative star Anthony Watmough and released a few other players, including popular hooker Nathan Peats, just to continue playing for premiership points this season.

Radradra has revealed a burning desire to be the best Fijian-born player to play in the NRL.

If he was forced off Parramatta’s books, a shift to tropical Queensland under master coach Wayne Bennett would be the ideal move to achieve such a lofty personal goal.

Radradra flagged a move to rugby when the Parramatta salary cap scandal first blew up, so he is not averse to moving on if the opportunity fits.

The exceptionally powerful 23-year-old has found his way to the tryline 57 times in 61 games for the Eels, an incredible strike rate which stamps him as one of rugby league’s most potent players with the ball in hand.

There is some tongue in cheek irony in that sentence.

Why is the media still talking about us having to lose players? We're miles under the cap now, surely. And given the number of players that are off contract, it seems extremely unlikely that we'd be forced to offload anyone that is already signed up..

Sounds like high hopes and clickbait bullshit to me..

And moreso, the f**king Broncos? As if they could afford him? then I guess they could pay him $200K on contract and $1Mil in "TPA's"...

That article doesn't have any kind of source anywhere, and is pure speculation. It's still hilarious that I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos lost Maranta and Kahu, and were then able to replace them with the best winger in the game, and no one would ask any questions about how they fit him in when they already have nine other guys who played in the Anzac test in their side.
