Doesn't look like it. Thougn i assume they wont want to be putting Moses on a plane with his foot in the boot atm.Moses ? Did any of the injured crew go down to Mexico ?
Do we know for certain that the club beancounters did'nt veto the travelling expenses for non-essential squad members?Doesn't look like it. Thougn i assume they wont want to be putting Moses on a plane with his foot in the boot atm.
I was more surprised about Addo-Carr not going down there.
I would have thought having him in the sheds pre-game pumping the boys up with his energy would be an asset you want to use.
Might be a little lesson there for the coaching staff for future interstate trips to make sure a senior player who isnt playing maybe should still be around the squad on game day.
Why would players not in the squad for the match go to a game in a different state?
I reckon you are missing the point of what Ryles is trying to do. It's obvious he is trying to regenerate the squad with a focus on youth. You have to ask yourself the question why we weren't interested (the article didn't name us as interested parties) when it appears our current choice to play the most minutes at 9 is a bloke on a development contract.
Surely Smith is not the long term plan at 9?
Didn't need him when we had our inspirational Captain Jnr Barlow on deck to delegate team huddle chat to Ryley Smith. Ffs Barlow!Doesn't look like it. Thougn i assume they wont want to be putting Moses on a plane with his foot in the boot atm.

I think Smith is a trier...but so is Jake Tago... So was Hands at one point.I reckon you are missing the point of what Ryles is trying to do. It's obvious he is trying to regenerate the squad with a focus on youth.
Pretty much every position, we have some promising juniors/rookies potentially ready this year or next 12 months.
It will obviously lead to some poor loses but in the long term will pay off. We could get a "sugar kick" and make some signings of older experienced players, but it's only blocking blooding players at this stage. That's not to say we won't make signings, but more so for next year when Ryles knows what we need.
On Smith, I didn't rate him as much of an nrl option for this year (or ever), but his debut was pretty good. And he may just be good enough for a long term 9, he is only going to get better with more experience.
Dick pic?Ballsy text I just got from the membership department.
Did that actually happen?delegate team huddle chat to Ryley Smith

To share the sacrifice (of his free time) with his team mates. Why would players not in the squad for the match go to a game in a different state?
That's a fair point. It's one less expense for travel/accommodation/food.Do we know for certain that the club beancounters did'nt veto the travelling expenses for non-essential squad members?
Remember we're a club with few resources.
