Come on, you know what he was saying. Mental pressure and criticism towards the coach might drive a coach to do a Paul Green(God Forbid!)
Brisbane are set to complete the interview process to replace Wayne Bennett by the end of this week as the Broncos move decisively to make a call about their 2020 coach.

NRL.com understands that Kiwis coach Michael Maguire and South Sydney's Dally M coach of the year Anthony Seibold have already been interviewed with Maroons coach Kevin Walters to be put through his paces on Wednesday and Broncos assistant Jason Demetriou on Thursday.

The Broncos panel which will interview the prospective coaches will be headed by club director Darren Lockyer, CEO Paul White and chairman Karl Morris. The process will be overseen by a Broncos senior staff member.

All candidates have undergone psychometric testing by an independent company.

Coaches get psychometric testing to make sure there capable of holding such a high pressure position.

Well that's how Brisbane landed Seibold back in 2018 over Demetriou, Maguire & Walters.

What an interview process that would have been and time to be alive those 4 were fighting out to replace Wayne Bennett.

Interesting that a lot of praise given to Shepard and and by association De Gois with the the positive identification and retention policy within the juniors.
Don’t remember the esteemed MON getting a comment, the narks would think there is a reason why we tend to fail in going after the more elite players , let’s we how the recruiting process goes when it now seems more control is ceded to Ryles.

I think the Christchurch option is the early favourite with the new stadium opening up next year if its logistically possible.

And the plus would be it wont be against the warriors as it will be a double header is my understanding if it does go ahead with the Warriors being the home team for the other game.
Surely Perth is an option. Would think the nrl would be pushing for more games there next year in the lead up to the Bears in 2027

Which elite players have we failed to get? The last one was Lomax and he signed. Then we re-signed our other Origin player in Moses. Which other elite players have wet gone after? We’re not going to buy our way to success. The smart clubs fit a lot of talent under the cap, and they do it through junior development (poaching). Buying big names means overpaying for big names. That’s how you end up in salary cap trouble.
