roosters - can't see them moving on pearce now ... keary going well
parra - we need a half ... we supposedly have cash
manly - they have DCE ... can't see em putting big $s on a second half
dogs - I'm sure they would move whatever they could to make room ... reynolds/mbye/lichaa become available - dunno if we want them
tigers - I reckon cleary would happily move brooks and maybe moses too
dragons - invested heavily in Hunt ... doubtful they would also go for cronk
panthers - gus isn't afaid to move people on .... bit doubtful though
souths - would need to move players to make room ... playing with inglis could be enticing for cronk .... wouldn't count them out ... reynolds could become available???

I reckon Tigers are the best chance. Cronk + Brooks are affordable.

I'm masively on the fence .... 2 or 3 years ago I would have given both nuts for cronk - he's probably still worth righty (righty is more valuable than lefty)

dunno if an option like widdop could be better value on the field - widdop has been great at st george, only time he was not so great was when benji was there

Let's all calm down....face it, Cronk will be 34 when he rolls up to whoever signs him. He's a great player and he'd likely do at very worst a good job. And his tuition would be invaluable for the likes of Dargan But for anything more than two years, maybe an option in the clubs favour for a third so we can capitalise if he's still going gangbusters at 36, I'd be looking elsewhere.

Cronk is a better player than Widdop right now, and you'd also think he will cost more. However Cronk is on the decline whereas Widdop is still at his peak, with at least 4 years of NRL footy in front of him. Plus Widdop kicks goals.

Well technically, if you were a superstar and are now just a useful player, you're probably at least a bit past it. But Pou will argue anything so best to just let him be IMO

Widdop's other down side. Like Foran, he seems to be a career left side player despite a right boot kicking game. But he could adapt.

I think the Tigers have plenty of cheap players in their squad, which is part of the reason for their on-field failure. I'm sure they could keep the entire 'big four' if they chose to. However they need more experience in their spine, especially the halves, and I reckon Cronk would be a good fit.
