I agree with Happy, I reckon he's a done deal somewhere.
There's always the chance he says "f**k it, after all THOSE years in Melbourne, I don't need a trillion dollar contract" but other than that I can't see him going to Rorters, Drags or Moanly.
I also can't see going to one of these teams without pushing out another player, whether contracted or off contract:
Sharks - Bird and/or Townsend
Penrith - Cleary
Souffs - Reynolds
Tigers - Moses and/or Brooks

That leaves us and Dogs. If he goes to Dogs that'll push Jeynolds out and where would Foran go? (Brisbane probably)
If he is a done deal already then Dessie resigning could be an ominous warning

Yeah kinda this. We should offer him what he's worth to us, given his age. If he chooses us then great. If not, there'll be a flow on effect I reckon.

Widdop/Moses for $500- $750k and Hooker / middle forward for $500k is a better option in my opinion rather then spending approx $1.2 million plus on cooper.

manly - they have DCE ... can't see em putting big $s on a second half

tigers - I reckon cleary would happily move brooks and maybe moses too
dragons - invested heavily in Hunt ... doubtful they would also go for cronk
panthers - gus isn't afaid to move people on .... bit doubtful though
souths - would need to move players to make room ... playing with inglis could be enticing for cronk .... wouldn't count them out ... reynolds could become available???

I do think he is past it !! Looks extra good in the storm system and is still a good player. But I wouldn't be offering more then $800k to him.

I actually reckon he will struggle for what ever Sydney club he plays for and is an injury risk too at his age.
