Maybe Wayneo will give KK the flick for 2026 season and we can sign another player for a 1 year deal before they move onto greener pastures

I think you're completely right about location. Keaon is used to being near the beach and the only beach close to us is at the Nepean River. I think people forget the location is also a factor in recruitment and its not just about the money or the length of the contract. With Keaon Saints trumped us with all these metrics. It’s far more about location than anything else. Kellyville simply can’t compete with the Southern Sydney or Wollongong beaches from a lifestyle perspective.
There is a reason why they used a helicopter.
He would be a huge asset next year. Better than not having him at all.Maybe Wayneo will give KK the flick for 2026 season and we can sign another player for a 1 year deal before they move onto greener pastures![]()
We can be the stop-gap club, rather than a development club.He would be a huge asset next year. Better than not having him at all.
Poor Lomax, not the sharpest tool in the shed, just a tool! Every time he changes clubs his salary decreasesI think Drown at his best is objectively better than Pezet, but in the context of replacing 2025 Dylan Brown with 2026 Jonah Pezet, it might actually be a net gain because Drown was so far off his best this year.
Lomax is the real loss. We won’t be replacing him next year but hopefully his cap space can be put to good use with contract extensions. I’d say half of it went to Iongi’s upgrade, which isn’t any sort of gain for 2026 but it at least keeps us out of a bidding war next November. He will be a star.
You need to spend your cap space. We can be the stop-gap club, rather than a development club.
Except I understand were front-loading his payments so he won’t be costing us $1m when he’s 33 years old.Yep, if he was off contract in four years, aged 32, it’s unlikely anyone would be paying him over a million for 2031. This way it’s guaranteed.
For the Dragons they are paying a long term price for a short term benefit. It’s a reasonable move for a desperate club. Were we that desperate? We are if you ask some of the fans.
Won't help our club in the long-term.You need to spend your cap space.
Our coach commutes from the ‘Gong as do many people. Sometimes you just need to STFU.The only problem with places like Wollongong and Newcastle is that there’s no jobs there. If you’re an NRL player it’s a great place to live.
Haven’t we got two options though? If it’s not him (I didn’t realise he was tiny) we also have Fletcher do we not? Some have suggested he may have moved ahead?Lorenzo is in the matt arthur weight class, tough to see how hes gonna survive in the NRL
I doubt it’s that deep. I think bro just wanted to get paid.
Are players unable to drive a motor vehicle? f**k me it’s not hard to live at Bronte or Tamarama and play to Parra, it’s a f**king 35minute drive! That’s a bullshit excuse. I drive from Terrigal to Redfern, now that’s a proper drive!I think you're completely right about location. You know very well I wasn't celebrating after the preliminary final. You even had a go at me for not being in here flicking beans with you merkins. We were paying over $3 for that grand final. Massive underdogs
What’s the chance Flanno is not even there in 2027 if they have a dud year again this year? The bloke has gone for the coin, nothing else.Well, of course.
But would you back yourself as a player to continue to play rep footy under a coach who has won a Premiership, and been around for a while, or a rookie?
Playing rep footy adds to the player's earnings, after all.
Like I said - I am very happy with the appointment of Jason Ryles, but he is an unknown.
Yea but if you have the choice with both clubs being pretty shit you’d take the beach lifestyle with an easy commute. Are players unable to drive a motor vehicle? f**k me it’s not hard to live at Bronte or Tamarama and play to Parra, it’s a f**king 35minute drive!
