When Radrada moves on, we will be short of a genuine returner of the ball not to mention Haynes unmatched skill level and defensive wizardry. I reckon that we could get him for around $1.2m and now that we actually have one of the most competent admins going round, surely we should be able to pickup a very good tpa for potentially the most bankable star in the NRL to come home.

1. Hayne is not a genuine returner of the ball like Semi. He is a great ball player and I will not deny that.

2. Hayne is a good player but not worth $1.2m. Plus for all the positives he brings, does a show pony fit into our structure right now ? The article posted today about the Henry Hayne rift is shocking. No way would I want a marquee player not on talking terms with the coach, picking and choosing which training drills he feels like participating in. Andrew Johns said today on the footy show that you just have to let Hayne do as he pleases. I don't agree.

You're wrong on both counts. Period!

Barry, so the past few weeks the refs have been appallingly bad and have seemingly favoured our opponents is not a concern.

I understand you like to respond that everything is on a level playing field, that's like suggesting the Roosters and Broncos don't leverage and stretch the rules beyond breaking point on TPAs, I would be pretty confident if they did a real forensic audit on them they would uncover a minefield

Haven't you heard delboy, it's all about the evidence!!!

1.2 mill. Tell him he's dreaming!!!!

That's not Haynes issue...

The titans are in a real pickle and have already lost McQueen, if Hayne sticks around than I think peats is a big chance of coming back...

Just a gut feeling

Hayne at anything over 400-500k in cap money is a huge risk. Signing him for 800k plus will just cause player retention issues at our club. Not to mention his huge ego and other flaws, are we really that stupid to go there?

The interesting thing I find is that both Ennis and Parker both announced retirements mid-season when both had offers on the table to continue playing, but both chose the Fox Sports commentary money mid-season over the NRL contract.

So is the commentary money comparably good enough (obviously not as much I would suggest and % probably less for Cronk) to just not bother playing?
Im guessing the offers to keep playing werent great

Fox have about 3 million people working on their league coverage .... 4 merkins sit on a couch n chat in between games on saturdays n sundays - plus 4 merkins at each game, etc etc

Cooper Cronk has plenty to offer off the field in many areas, coaching, commentating, corporate speaking, brand ambassador. I think if he's smart and gets himself sorted out with the right set up and can still have a 7 figure income in 2018 and beyond.

Given we appear to have two halves signed up he'd be a pretty valuable assistant coach at Parra.

1) You do understand that you've quoted and replied to Strider, yes?

2) When did I say the everything is on a level playing field? Don't make things up. If you'd bothered reading my post I pretty much said that the match scheduling situation with the Broncos is unfair. It's just not a conspiracy. It's an attempt to maximise TV revenues. If the other club (and players) s are happy to have a smaller re-distribution of revenues, then that is fine, but it has to be clear that that is the choice. If you'd selected any of the numerous posts I've made noting that the problem is the NRL's unwillingness to put a 2nd team in Brisbane, you'd find it difficult to justify the crap you've just posted about my opinions. I'm sorry if that sounds angry, but have the decency to address my actual words, not ones you've made up.

3) Simply speculating that some clubs cheat more than others doesn't mean that it's true.

There's a whole bunch of you gents who can't accept that we cheated in the dumbest way possible and got served. Your response is to go and whinge about other clubs. That is the least productive response possible. If we have evidence that someone is cheating, report it. Otherwise support people who run our club better (which I think Bernie/Maxster seem to be doing), and stop implicitly blaming everyone and everything else. That's how we improve.

Rant over.
