Yes boys I was told John Falou was supposed to make the trip up - unfortunately, Wentworthvile magpies couldn't find a suitable replacement in time.

So we're sticking with Kenny at 6 and Gutho at the back.

Are you happy now ?

Moses has 1 ta and 1 LBA in his first 8 games this season. Is that worrying at all?
Can use the excuse doesn't want to be there. He was trying to get a big contract and best interest to play well.
Id be slightly worried if his form didn't improve. Last season he was MOM nearly everytime the tigers won.
Yeah his form was better last year. He's obviously past his best.

Like I said Hayne and Kasiano would be the best two buys that we could make that are readily available. We would be mad to pass on them if the price is right.

On Hayne, if we can't get a decent $3-400k tpa for arguably the most marketable player in the NRL, then the Burn and Co are not the admin quality that I thought they were.

Just on the hype, bums on seats and merchandise sales that he would bring he will pay for himself. It is a no brainer from that perspective. The only real question is whether BA wants him back. If he doesn't, imo he is making ANOTHER mistake.

Jarryd, is a freak of a talent and as such he marches to a different beat, just like so, so many other uber talented individuals. The better coaches understand this and should/do adjust to make it work for both the individual and the team. You can't as a coach have your cake and eat it too.

Whether we like it or not, geniuses do not change their way of doing things very easily or ever, We mortals need to get over our resentments and give them what it takes to help them fly.

I think most of the playing group get that and can live with it, but it is the old school hard nosed people/coaches that seem to think that one size fits all, who find it very difficult and fail to get the best outcome for both player and team.

Like Laurie Daley said the other day, there were a couple of players back in his day at Canberra that didn't put in so much at training and he initially had some resentment towards them, but then what they could do on the field, well if they could do that, then he just needed to get on with it and he did.

Jarryd is a once in a life time quality player that has come out of Parra. We should not be so prideful to the point of biting our nose to spite our face.

Come home Jarryd, it's time to win a premiership and with you in the team, we just about have the players to do it.
A real good signing for them...

I think they paid RUMOURED overs to save face with the Wtigers fans. Widdop Foran Johnston Cronk are all off the market and after losing 3 out 4 of their gun players they could have ended up with Littlejohn in the halves with Brooks in 2018.

If the RUMOURS are true about the price they paid, it seems very desperate move by desperate club. Reynolds whilst a passionate player (which is admirable) he doesn't have much else. Bulldogs weren't keen on resigning him for a reason and that's because he's not creative enough. Reynolds can't take control of a side and needs a controlling half beside him. Can't believe he's being paid so much

I doubt he's getting paid that much (the media always inflates prices) but he certainly offers more than passion - since 2014 he has provided the following attacking contribution in 69 games:

31 LBAs
31 TAs
22 linebreaks
16 tries

He is also a good defender. I think he'll form a strong partnership with Brooks.

I had a read of the reaction of the Tigers fans over in their section and they were stoked! The general consensus was - Great signing, just what they need and they all can't wait until Moses the overrated wanker is gone... And Parra paid over for Moses because he's on 900K+....

I can't blame them - they're in a desperate spot right now and it's a situation we're familiar with as Eels fans. But a dose of reality and truth wouldn't go astray.... Whatever Moses and Reynolds have signed for respectively, they're both in the "right place at the right time" and benefitting above what they probably should... but good to luck to them...

FTR - I reckon Reynolds will be a good fit next to Brooks.

Agreed. The Tigers will be better off swapping Moses for Reynolds, and we will benefit from it too. It's wins all round, depending on price of course.

Oh you mean that when he runs the ball they now plan to tackle him whereas last year their plan was to not tackle him?

Good to see they've finally worked him out in his fourth season in the NRL.

Players get worked out as do coaches and styles. Has Moses? More then likely not.
But plenty of halves look great first few seasons.
Elgey,mbye,t.smith,sandow. They faded. Unless your theory is their weakness just werent noticed.
Norman was opposite, he worked out the game. And got better and better at it.

Moses can to. But he is a risk just like many other big names halves we have signed.

Dogs swapping Reynolds for Foran. Be interesting how that works for them. One is and was the heart and soul of the club. The new guy is a ticking time bomb. Plus they have Woods. Starting to have a touch of the Robbie Farrahs about him. I reckon these signings will be about as productive as Hoppa. Not our problem thankfully. Cleary doing nicely at Tigpies. A new broom sweeps clean.
