Staggs, does anyone think meehan can actually force his way into the top side if given the clearance. You'd have to think Arthur would have him play the reamainder of tge season in Wentworthvile, unless two or three props go down injured.

I like him and think he will be good, but I'm thinking 2018 is the thinking behind his signing.

If he's ready to go he'll be in most 30 man squads in the nrl ... it all depends whether we want to keep that spot open for him or not

I would be switching Guth and French, Gutherson ripped at fullback, his size, his kick returns, his support play and his passing game was a real asset to have at the back, I think he needs to be our fullback moving forward.

If I was the coach, I may think about switching them too. Just not sure BA will, at least not in 2017.

Could be conditional - something like he can train with the NRL squad and play lower grades but ineligible for NRL until 2018, pending good behaviour.

That's what I'm thinking. He was cleared to train with Manly in the off-season. It'll test his patience and commitment, will be good for him in the long run as he can focus on dropping weight.

Unless French puts on some size, I feel as though it going to need to happen at some stage and Guth goes back there.

No doubting his natural ability cause he has it all to be a star, but size is honestly against him and I am not sure his ready to be a fullback just yet.

Where as Guth I think was outstanding there and his big frame compliments his vast variety of skills he possess and his also a great support player.

Bevan needs time and to beef up again. He did a little from last year but needs to again. It will come with age.

With Semi we can get away with French. Once Semi goes thou pending who ends up on the wing it could be an issue.

We are not playing with sweeping plays to get the fb involved. Although since back he has had the handbrake jammed on, needs to go to reggies to get confidence back in knee. Then Gutho to fb when Norman returns.
