So JT only plays one regular season game in the past few months and is now out for the rest of the year.

That one game just happened to be against us...and he absolutely killed it!

So Cameron King finally gets his first opportunity in two seasons to play "1s" and hes been ruled unsatisfactory before he even runs on the field. Gee its a tough game. How does a coach get the committment demanded from players when they are virtually told they are not good enough.
I for one am really interested to see how King goes in better company.

I don't think he's been too crash hot against worse company.

While on DH's. Although Peats had good defense numbers in SOO2, I thought his service was less crisp and on the two occasions I saw him scoot from DH he looked like the slowest DH Ive ever seen. Additionally he also had a bad miss in that try started by Maguire when every NSW player decided not to tackle.
Again I say. Peats not worth $650k. Is he playing this weekend?

Doubt he'll turn in to a gazelle out of dummy half if he comes to the Eels.... none of our hookers under Arthur's tenure have exhibited much in the way of a running game either....

Kritchard has a pretty good running game. But because he's been required to play 80 minutes (and because he plays for Parra and our dummy half's role is to pass it after a quick play-the-ball) he hasn't had much chance to show it.

I remember the hype around Cameron King when he first appeared at St George. I was happy when we signed him, and thought he might be a top 17 options but after all this time he obviously isn't, not here or anywhere else. I don't really know why. He doesn't get off the line quickly in the Wenty games I've seen, but then nobody does in reserve grade. The biggest difference between NRL and ISP isn't the size of the forwards, it's their speed and workrate.

I recall King being close to getting picked in the top 17 for round 1 this season until he got injured.

I haven't really watched him play much, but he's had every opportunity to break into the FG side for a good while now and hasn't been able to. Seems like another FOG to me..

Mail is Lichaa was told early on in the season he wouldnt be wanted for next year and he he was encouraged to have his manager look around for 2018.
Unless thats changed the dogs dont want him, although they might attempt to play hardball, as you do when somebody has something others want in the NRL and they are still under contract.
BUT i think they might release him out of good faith/compassionate, wouldnt surprise me if he is an eel soon...............gulp

for a bloke who was told early in the year his services are not wanted next season he's done well to keep his spot until now in FG, particularly with Craig Garvey at the club...
in saying that, if he's heading our way I say 1 of 3 scenarios.
* He's released straight after tonights game and plays for us next thursday.
* held back then released after next Thursdays game.
or
* starts training for us in November.
