This year we've beaten the following packs with speed and footwork:
Manly
St George (twice)
Wests
Penrith
North Queensland
Souths
New Zealand
Canterbury

It's a team game.

The only top 8 teams we have beaten so far is Manly before they gelled, Nth Qld with half their team missing (then poorly against the full strength side) and StG who are now on a slide possibly out of the 8. Still to come a very weakened Storm side and Brisbane twice. So far the better top 8 sides have spanked us. Lets hope our halves paring helps us against the good top 8 sides otherwise we'll exit in the first week.

He would need a big off season. He looks off the pace at the moment. I would rather Bateman, Boyd and Tapine.

Paulo is playing at 129kg I believe whereas played around 120kg at Parra, I don't think he is fit enough.

I am an Alvaro critic. I watch him closely and I think he is learnng and changing his game. He steps a little before hitting line and is pumping his legs more on contact.
His defense is better then Browns though.

Mannah just looks old.Sure he is only 29. Will be 30 start of next season but he has been bashed in first grade since 20. A lot of props do not reach grade till 22.
He could be playing injured and needs a spell once get troops back.

I just wonder if he has copped too many head knocks? Be best to medically retire at years end and get paid for the next 2 years at home.

I was at the races that day for end of cricket season drinks, on the cans from early morning. We all left Rosehill to go to the Albion for a feed and to watch the footy. I f**ked off at halftime with the shits to head home.When I got home, the missus says, "why are you home so early?". I said the Eels put me in a bad mood. She says "What are you talking about? They won!"

But nobody except the players think we can win the comp this year. We probably will get smashed in week two of the finals. It'll still be a very successful year for us, and build nicely into 2018-19.

But nobody except the players think we can win the comp this year. We probably will get smashed in week two of the finals. It'll still be a very successful year for us, and build nicely into 2018-19.

Once you make the finals a new comp effectively starts.
If we get there we have a chance like everyone else there.
