I dont get to read the forum much during the day now ... then when i do i am 10 pages behind the rumours thread so i wanna have a scan through n see if there is anything interesting - but there are just wads of dribble from some newcomers ... ive never felt the need to put ppl on ignore no matter how annoying they are, generally just scroll past certain peoples posts ... but i reckon ignore might be worth a shot

Depends on who is doing the negotiations. A few players managing themselves at the moment and more doing it. The match fixing and claims of money laundering may lead to some questions being asked as well.

Interesting pitch to be a mod. Unfortunately differing perspectives, opinions or hurt feelings do not have anything to do with mods. Nor does finding someones commentary "distasteful" or "different to mine". Otherwise there would be no users here left. Quite frankly, the world would be a boring place without different people. Yet the boys of today all crave similarity... god forbid, we be true to ourselves.

when i was a mod it was a pain in the arse reading shit you don't want to and if you decided to move posts like you want then they'd be here all day doing it in multiple threads all over the forum

if you use ignore then you won't see what you're complaining about

mods have better things to do than move posts all day when you can solve the problem yourself

Hmm, that's an interesting point actually. Although you would have to think any third party payments that are less than above board would not be on the books.

What I was in fact referring to with Foran though was the "spot fixing" investigation. To this day I am astounded Foran came out with nothing after receiving money (fact) from Hayson and plenty of other smoking gun stuff.

It kind of all just... Went away.

I would think that if the NRL can prove a player knowingly received illegal payments, then they can be punished for it.
Whether they would or not is a different story.

Yes, but the NRL would have to prove that the player knew the payments were illegal.
Which might not be easy to do. The manager could easily just take the fall and the player would get off scott free.

See herein lies the problem with what's happening with Seward.
Sure it's great to see that turd of a farkwit getting his comeuppance, but this will deter anyone ever coming forward again to rat out their club - which as we know is the only way a team can get busted for salary cap cheating.
