Which might not be easy to do. The manager could easily just take the fall and the player would get off scott free.

If a player as smart as the QLD and Australian captain didn't know that the 2nd contract he signed with the Storm was illegal and nothing to the contrary could be proven, then I think the rest of the players in the comp will be sweet too...

See herein lies the problem with what's happening with Seward.
Sure it's great to see that turd of a farkwit getting his comeuppance, but this will deter anyone ever coming forward again to rat out their club - which as we know is the only way a team can get busted for salary cap cheating.

He wasn't punished by the NRL though. He's been charged because he committed fraud. There will be cases of cheating the NRL where no fraud was committed. But yeah, once you become a whistleblower I can imagine you might find it hard to get work opportunities.
