So flicking through the sports channels and its half time in the AFL replay of Hawks v Swans and what do I see, Cameron Smith on the MCG with his child wearing an AusKick jacket.

Is this really a good look for the Captain of the Australian Rugby League Team and Chairman of the Rugby League Players Association? Perhaps if he wanted more money in the game so he could be paid more he wouldn't consider promoting an opposition sport.
Like we need anymore reasons to hate Cameron Smith.

So David Snith gets criticised for not knowing the kangaroos captain, then that same saintly person give AFL a leg up on national tv.

Will that strong leader we have now do something, of course not he is a myth and has led the game poorly and it continues . Smith should be ashamed, but then we should expect nothing more of him

If his kid likes AFL, then he should take his kid to go and watch the AFL.
f**k forcing your kid to like a certain sport just because you love it. His kid would go to a school where all his mates would be AFL-mad. Makes sense he would like it as well.

As long as Smith himself isn't wearing an Auskick jacket, then I don't see much of a problem with it.

Of course, the CEO of Coca Cola would be seen at a major Pepsi sponsored event with his son wearing a Pepsi shirt

So obvious that it's done everywhere smh

Agreed and I don't think anyone would've cared if he wasnt wearing the AusKick attire.

Are we not in competition for new fans with the AFL though?

Yes, we are. However, it doesn't mean that I care if we get fewer of those new fans than the AFL does. Doesn't change my life one bit. I'm not one of these 'my sport/team has got more fans than yours so I must be a better bloke' types.

Does anyone seriously think that the game is more enjoyable to watch in these days of massive funding from TV deals, than it was as a semi-pro game? I don't.

But you're a rusted on fan and like me couldn't care less.

If rugby league losers followers because Cam Smith appears at the MCG in the company of his son who is wearing an Auskick jersey, then rugby league followers don't really like rugby league.

I can't imagine that dickhead's son has any serious option to play rugby league in Melbourne, even if he wanted to.
