Re the Hayne piece about how wonderful his attitudes been at trading in the DT I had a good laugh at one of the comments below. It said;

“Yes Hayne has been amazing, just this week he let a couple of the players call him by his first name and he even cut up his own sausages at a team BBQ”.

3rd most errors but you can also factor in how many times a player touches the ball. Semi seemed to touch the ball a lot more than other wingers but more than likely not as much as your spine players. So percentage wise he could've been costing us a lot more than it seems.

Also with Semi leaving it means we have to change our attacking structures so we're not having to give the ball out to the left edge. We may score more tries through the middle third of the field which makes it easier for our goal-kickers. And it makes our attack incredibly hard to predict with the way we play our halves and having 2 very good centres we don't have to have a set play where we involve our winger, we didn't have to before but with how good Semi was at running the ball why wouldn't you?

We can only hope there is a bit more second phase play generated by the forwards to help overcome the loss of Semi. We'll certainly have less length of the field tries with him gone but hopefully more team tries.

When Gutho comes back, and if French firing at fb, I'd put Gutho as centre and Hayne on wing with roving commission much like Semi.

We might not win more non-finals matches next year (because 16 is a lot) but I'd say we'll be a better team, with better for and against. We will also probably win more finals matches too. We'll be fine without Semi Radradra.
