The average salary in the 30 man squad is just over $300k. Do you reckon Auva'a would be on half of that?Lets say we did sign Semi. His cost would of been imo 600k min.
Auvau perhaps costs 150k? That leaves 450k in the Kitty.
So you can have Hayne + Auvau for 650k or Semi and say N.Davis for 680k in your side.
Agree as he would be used in tandom with the best winger in the game.

DV offender who was signed as depth / backup. I'd be surprised if he was on much moreThe average salary in the 30 man squad is just over $300k. Do you reckon Auva'a would be on half of that?
He was signed as a player who had won a premiership. We wouldn't have been the only club willing to take a punt on him.

I can't imagine it would make much difference. He was just one of 34 players and it's just one game. Unless he had an exceptional game.He was signed as a player who had won a premiership. We wouldn't have been the only club willing to take a punt on him.
I would take semi over hayne any f**king dayLets say we did sign Semi. His cost would of been imo 600k min.

The point is he was part of the top 17 in that Souths side. He made his NRL debut in round six and only missed one game between then and the grand final.I can't imagine it would make much difference. He was just one of 34 players and it's just one game. Unless he had an exceptional game.
Yeah that's fair enough. If he was a regular part of the side for the majority of the year then it would up his price. The point is he was part of the top 17 in that Souths side. He made his NRL debut in round six and only missed one game between then and the grand final.
He was obviously not a star - that Souths side looks like it saved a bit of cash in the outside backs - but he was an established first grader when we threw him that lifeline. I'm sure we got him for less than he was worth, but he was worth a lot more than minimum salary.
He signed a 2 year contract initially, coming into a suspension for off-field indiscretions, coming into a squad who already had established centres and basically starting wingers so he'd be on back-up money. I'd say he'd be lucky to be on $150k for this year.

Yep, spot on. He may be on more for this year but I reckon no more than $150k.I agree, pretty sure there was an article last year talking about players in our side on the minimum amount and he was one ( think with smith and king).
Even probableI guess it's possible.
