Did you see his tweet in reply to Bevan Paul's tweet that an offer was made ? He claimed Paul did not make an offer.

Bevan has not (yet) replied, at the moment I'm leaning towards believing Hayne going by his presser he just looked pretty disappointed to me.

Let's assume no offer was made. Do you think we just never offered, or maybe we know our hands are tied and we're waiting on clarity from the NRL. If it's the latter that's occured, it's hard to believe he couldnt wait a few more weeks. IMO he def. knew what kind of numbers we were crunching together and jumped at the Titans offer.

Can you link the tweet? Because I can not for the life of me find it. I saw the image of the tweet in question but there's nothing of the sort on Hayne's twitter account.

Hayne also said he could never play against Parra and he also said he has signed a deal for life. I wouldn't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

I think part of his reasoning for choosing the Gold Coast was that he wanted to play this season and he wanted to play with a team that was going to figure in the Finals. If he was going to do that he had to do that now and neither of those opportunities were going to eventuate with him coming to Parra.

Sorry mate I cant, I saw the Tweet that Gronk posted on the Jarryd Hayne thread. He seems to be good at calling people out on Twitter, mainly journos though.

I'm speculating but I think we have to wait till we get the Turd to give us permission to make an offer or endorse our offer but Tits said he had 24 hours or the deal is off and Hayne said he wanted to play this year so that why he made the decision, albeit reluctantly. If there was no guarantee that we are able to make him an offer he probabaly had no choice but I'll admit I dont know all the facts so its just a judgement call at this stage.

Everything could change tomorrow when more news comes out.

Why would we need to get Greenbergs permission to make an offer to an uncontracted player?
To sign a contract and have it ratified, sure every club needs to do that, but to make an offer for 2017 - doesnt make sense we would need to do that.
