So, those of you that remember my theory on me coming into the world in 81 and starting the golden run therefore my baby girl (due GF weekend eek) hopefully will kick off the same for us this year...

Question, who has shared the Parra / footy love with their daughters. More specifically their daughters that weren't also encouraged by older brothers. Tell me its possible to share that tradition of going to the footy and cheering away our side with a little lady!!

Mate, my two girls are brainwashed and bleed blue and gold. It has gone even further with a genuine dislike for Manly and the Tigers as that’s who my folks go for. Great stuff

I would start by feeding the young lass appropriate food once she's old enough, perhaps roast Sea Eagle, Dog (Korean), flake etc.

But at the end of the day, this stuff doesn't matter. Raise a good person and you'll be happy.

My daughter loved going to the games and was actually pretty good at watching while there from about 3 till 6 but the last few years (she turns 9 in July) though there is a lot less interest. She now comes to the Tigers easter game cause other kids go otherwise she thinks it is boring.

I will also say though that i'm a pretty reserved type of person and not really one to shove anything i love down anyones throat so maybe my lack of outward enthusiasm doesn't help in that regard?

She at least supports the Eels and asks if they won on the weekends so i figure that as she gets older if she wants some daddy daughter bonding time the footy is one of the best places cause her mother would never come..........

Agreed, for a one year contract, but a young player is inclined to improve in each year of a contract. An older player is likely to decline. Not that I think 28 indicates an older player. A 28 year old is at his peak for a couple more years at least.
