Problem with people on here is they cant handle criticism. If your happy with the odd play off spot every few years and not much else sure defend the club.
If you want to win the whole thing you must always look to improve and this is what Ram wants. He is the type pf guy who doesnt settle for mediocrity and knows what areas we need to improve to get the big prize.
I’m neither surprised nor disappointed you agree with ram

Bad luck or poor coaching? Everyone on here hates Alvaro and Mannah on at same time for this reason. Shit balance.
The problem isn't having them on at the same time, the problem is when they are both off the field. The fact Brown also had a breather indicates something threw our interchange plan out though. Probably losing Moses for 15 minutes while he got his head checked.

Kikau's stats from weekend - 1 try, 79m from 8 runs, 9.87m/run, 1 offload, 1 line break, 1 LBA, 3 tackle breaks, 16 tackles @ 100%

Tepai's - 106m from 10 runs, 10.6m/run, 1 LINE BREAK, 19 tackles @ 86%, 1 error

f**kING HUGE DIFFERENCE but also clearly you are blinded by your hatred of all things Parra

What? Only 86%?

But Kikau got 100%!!!

Ffs, Brad - drop this pretender, and at least talk to Kikau!!!

I hope the tongue-in-cheek tone was easily perceptible. I like Moeroa.

I am surprised at his successful tackling rate, though - he's normally a rock.

You must mean only in the first half:

1st half: 42m from 3 runs, 14.0m/run, 1 tackle break, 8 tackles @ 100%
2nd half: -

Munster would've been f**king stoked Moeroa didn't get back on the field, because he was giving Munster nightmares.

He was the best player on the field before his injury, imo. Absolute beast that day - and he did it playing in a Finals match, in Melbourne, too.

My first half comment was sarcasm...

So, would you agree that against the eventual premiers in a final Moeroa had Kikau'sque level numbers?
Yeah I guess. It would be more helpful though to compare the two over a number of games, which is why at this stage I'm treating Kikau's performance against Mitch Moses as an outlier. Maybe when he's played 20 games this season (he currently hasn't played a dozen NRL games in his life) we will have a better understanding of his value to a team.

But we already know Tepai Moeroa's value to a team. Or at least, some of us do.

Personally, I thought it was a great move - Mannah and Alvaro set the tone defensively, and helped us get on top.

The problems started when Moses got injured - Taka had to come on earlier than anticipated.

As has been pointed out, Brown is an 80-minute player - he didn't play the full 80 for some reason, and that meant that Mannah, Alvaro, and Brown were all off at the same time.

I don't think poor coaching cost us round 1 - I think it was bad luck, because our best player, Mitchell Moses, simply missed 25 minutes of play.

Had he not gone off injured in the first half, who knows what might have happened? Maybe he sets up two or three further tries, and it's game over by half-time.

I would swap them for simple reason I reckon guys like Tepai are easier to find. Not suggesting Kikau is a better player but they are rarer.
I reckon KE could do Tepai job as good if not better tbh.
So a young forward who can attack and defend in the middle and edge are easy to find???

brilliant logic,

its up there with: if you score more points that the other team, you will win the game
And yet some idiots need to be reminded of it.

We now have a "roughly fifty-fifty" chance of being 0 from 2 after this weekend. Knowing what you know, would you say it would be wise to slash one's wrist based on that likelihood?

Would being 0 from 2 after facing a couple of last year's finalists on their home turf mean we have any less a chance of playing in the finals? What if we had won 9 from 12 (for example) and then lost in Penrith and Manly in the middle of the year? Would that still be cause for slashing wrists?

Don't carry on like a jerk just because I condescend to spell simple shit out for dummies. These aren't sudden death games we're playing, they are just competition games, and in March they are more a lottery than games played later in the season. It sucks to miss the two points but if we're good enough to make a difference in the post-season then losing a couple of away games won't have any bearing on the season anyway.

Here's another mind-blower for Twizzle, but you miss more tackles when you are forced to attempt them in one-on-one situations. Plenty of our guys got isolated in that second half (when Moeroa missed both his tackles) so it's no surprised we missed almost twice as many tackles as in the first half.

Exactly what Pou says is correct and thst is why one player like a Semi or Kikau can be the difference in them. 16/17 cancel themself out a lot of time and its one guy who steps up.

What Tepai currently offers is solid. It isnt mind blowing. Sure he is an NRL player. I expect him to be an Origin player though and still believe he can. If he doesnt play for NSW i reckon he never reached his potential. That is how high I rated him. Sp far he has dissapointed me. Time on his side though. I reckon 24 he will hit straps and play for NSW.
