I get what you are saying Delboy but surely when a prop of his talent is available you just offer him more and let go of players that have obviously past their peak such as Mau, Mannah, Gower etc.

This is where we are stupid with recruitment. Surely whatever he signed with the Cowboys for isn't greater than our initial offer and David Gower's. If it was then make a tough call and let go of Mau whilst he is still attractive to other clubs and not totally a shadow of the player he was like say Tim Mannah.

BA needs to be more ruthless with players that have given "long service" to the club.

If we re-sign Beau Scott after this season BA should be mentally scheduled.

On Tesla quotes Avenger I like these two for different reasons.

"I do not think you can name many great inventions that have been made by married men".

and

"So astounding are the facts in this connection, that it would seem as though the Creator, himself had electrically designed this planet…"

Welcome to how Parramatta went over the salary cap TWICE and still won nothing, starring Rammy and Avenger...

And welcome to no depth when you get a bunch of injuries. Shed 3 to sign 1 not a great idea. You'd have to stack your squad with reggies.

What??? Hahahahaha... Only 2 of the most destructive forwards in the comp. When either of them come on they can change the momentum of any game. Yeah good one Pou.

I wish Parra ooonly had those two in our squad as our big boppers. Your logic is warped.
Well so far they’ve only beaten the Dogs, who’ve been almost as bad as us, despite the Australian front row.
As for Hasler and Maguire, I don't rate them as highly as Cleary. They both seem one dimensional. Not to say they aren't decent coaches, they have both one comps. But I rate Cleary the better all round coach.
Well there’s no denying Cleary has achieved more than them.

No depth players mate! You've gotta be ruthless and cut em loose.

Injuries are just f**ken excuses anyway!

Great idea if they are past it and a good and upcoming reserve grader can do the same or better job.

The only person I have ever heard call Kasiano destructive was a KFC franchisee in Bankstown
His best run is great. The problem is he makes so few of them. He’s made six runs in two games. It’s a nice luxury to have on your bench, but we can’t afford it.

If I were BA no matter how we go this year, even if we were to win the damn thing, won't happen, I would go hard to bring back Junior Paulo or sign Shannon Boyd.

So really, no matter how successful BA is, he will have no idea until his squad reflects what you think it should have .......

We had our long term hooker for the club but due to salary cap needed to get rid of him...
He has done well for mine to fix that position up while we got our cap mess together.

The forwards I’ll agree with, not sure why we let go of Tanginoa for instance when he is the exactly style of player we are lacking at the moment. Wouldn’t have cost much to keep and he would have to be ahead of quite a few forwards who are on the bench for us at the moment.
Defensive liability, and not good enough in attack to make up for it.

No. My point is that the squad need fresh blood of the gigantic size kind. So even if we were to do, imo, the impossible and win it, this squad is getting old and needs a shakeup. All squads need new blood almost without exception. We just need it of the lager variety and of the dummy half type too.

Gower would be on about minimum salary. I agree Scott shouldn’t be retained without a significant pay cut - I am a fan of keeping old boys around for leadership.

But after this year everyone is contracted only for the duration of their usefulness in the top 17. The oldest will all be only 31 (Hoffman, Jennings, Ma’u and Mannah, plus Hayne and Williams if we retain them) - this is five years younger than Smith/Cronk/Slater/Thurston this year, and six years younger than Gallen.

Unless a player was never better than a backup at his peak, 31 isn’t too old for first grade.

Do we have TPAs? Guess they can't compete with the magic beans the Broncos, Cowboys, Storm, Roosters etc have?

Bigger forwards doesn't stop Auva'a from dropping the ball on the first tackle. Bigger forwards doesn't stop us giving away an offside penalty after our first set. Having bigger forwards doesn't stop the 40/20 dce kicked. Bigger forwards doesn't stop Moses throwing the ball over the sideline looking for the miracle play.

Just, for once, before you post stop and think about what you're about to post.

We got a penalty when moses threw over sideline.....
Just saying.

Evans would of been close to 400k.
Mclean? My guess is 500-600k

Id be trying too ship Mannah off as well.
Yeah he works hard but need more. A rubish leader with no balls skills and a powder puff.

2016 we played great when Wicks and Terepo lead the front row.
