His form might be down, but ability doesn’t go away overnight. And with a form drop he would be in less demand, meaning cheaper.
I hope Tevita Pangai Junior is just that. As Pou has suggested, at this stage he has done very little on a week in week out basis.
I would much rather Junior Paulo or Shannon Boyd they both offer much more then Pangai has shown so far. Juniors offloads are destructive and we don't have anything like him. Even Brown doesn't offer the consistent offloads that Junior does I don't think.
I Know his work rate is down on what it should be, but that is all Ricky's fault and he need a good mentor, which Ricky is not.
Wont it be great if we get Jnr back. Our AFL conditioner will whip him into shape.I hope Tevita Pangai Junior is just that. As Pou has suggested, at this stage he has done very little on a week in week out basis.

Is just what? Young? He will be for a while.
I didn't say I don't like him. He did exactly what I wanted and expected of him and that was to clean out the abundant garbage players that we had at that time. Also him being the SOO coach before we signed him meant that he would of had an inside running to a lot of quality players.
I don't think he is a terrible coach if you get him at the right stage for your club. But as Hayne at the time said, Sticky short term is a great motivational coach, but very hard to stay up for him long term. Coaches like Ricky should only be at clubs for 2 maybe 3 years max. After that I feel they do more harm then good.
But we don't need someone like Sticky right now, nor do Canberra. We need a real quality coach, someone like Cleary or Robinson to add the few missing touches and get the players to another level.
But then again, with the way the season is turning out, we may all of a sudden find ourselves in a rebuilding phase once again if things don't turn around very quickly. If that does happen we may end up needing a razer coach again. Someone that is just ruthless with the players. I think that BA may find doing that a little difficult.
He works a 3458 hr week mateThe bigger question is, what are you blokes doing up at 4am and 6am and checking stuff out on an internet forum...

Actually Pou I think they were hoping a Hayne that took a massive pay cut and wanted to come back here would be the motivated Hayne. So far seen little of the Hayne we wanted and more of the Hayne the Titans endured. Unless something changes he'll be gone by years end and his money spent on players that want to play.He is 30 with 200 games under his belt. You know what you're getting with a bloke like that.
What do I have to respond to (according to you)?Actually you responded to a general fact that I posted as a general point of interest.
Well, responded is a general term, given you still haven't actually addressed it, just spewed rubbish.
What I can't understand is why we are going after nuffies and letting our juniors go. Sean Keppie the latest to go, might not become a champion, but wont cost as much as Pangai. Yet another junior let go without getting a chance in fg and there are a plethora of them running around in other teams. Unless BA becomes proactive in bringing players thru we'll continue to lose them.Correct.
On a 1 year deal! Based on his performance at the moment he probably wont have clubs knocking down the door for him so we are the ones in the position of power. AND, we didn't lose anyone to get him.
Im leaning toward rebuilding phase as a constant cycle for our team.
The clubs who spend more are the only ones who can stay top for 5 yrs straight.
Arthur's said in pre-season that we were at a stage where we wanted to retain players rather than bring a lot of new ones in. I wonder if he's panicked and rethought his plans, or whether he'll stick to his guns. The rest need to always be making changes and getting it right with juniors EVERY year. The only way to stay competetive is to have players on unders playing better then are.
Face the fact we had Brown playing like a 600k forward and Gutherson like a 700k fullback. And AUVAU on unders plus Semi on his 250-300k playing like a 700k player.
They offered us the edge. Now they either left or been upgraded so its times to look at who is on overs or who we havent kept that may of been able to provide a good service.
I dont see to many guys in our team now when full strength who would be on unders or even guys who could potentially provide great value BAR T rex and maybe Niaukore. But only at the expense of a top 17 player in Wenty.

Im up at 5am. More hours means more time in day to make money. Then I can replace all my old stuff with newer shiny stuff ffs. Havent you worked out the meaning of life yet?
Its called Panthers Memorabilia, Gus 111. The old stuff is usually worth more than the new stuff FFS.Im up at 5am. More hours means more time in day to make money. Then I can replace all my old stuff with newer shiny stuff ffs. Havent you worked out the meaning of life yet?
Panicking I reckon Poo. Not on the recruitment side of things but his reluctance to give a youngun even a sniff. it will eventually burn him I reckon. We chase Evans and more than likely other Props yet let Twal and Keppie are let go. Told ya before "Keppis a keeper". It flys in the face of sound cap management as you have so often correctly pointed out. Nobody is going to convince me that Evans isnt on 3 times Twal is on at The Tigpies. Early days I know but the form comparison aint goin well so far buddy.Roosters
