That is $1,700,000 or about $63,000 per game or just over 18% of the salary cap.

An offer of $750k would see him get about $430k p.a in the hand... so less than half of what he is getting in France.

I don't think you're factoring his living costs. I'm reliably told he's probably spending that near half mill on French wine requirements

Alvaro is bog average. His defense is good cause misses little tackles. But its not first class cause he doesnt hit hard with crunching tackles.His attack game is also garbage. Anyone can cart the ball up.
Lets compare him to James Graheme in his peak who is also a worker. Difference was along with his 40 tackles and 150mtrs he brought great leadership a short pass before the line and the odd crunching tackle. His running game was also superior. Why he would get MOM and was a big part of the Dogs success.



Im sure Danny is a nice guy. He is however a bog average first grade player. Handy worker but bring f**k all else. If he develops a pass before the line and an offload he may become a solid prop. At this rate in 3 yrs he will be finished in first grade due to the amount of beating he cops with his running style.

If Alvaro continues to perform like he has, he will be playing NRL until he is at least 30 and chalk up 200 or so games!!

Fisher-Harris played 1 game donkey years ago. He may get more if Manu and the rest of the Kiwis stays with Tonga, Samoa, etc.
Peachey is, has and always will be zero chance.
And Kikau is f**king Fijian!

We have him. Daniel Alvaro. Graham is just an accumulator, Vaughan is the metre eater

By the numbers, if Alvaro played the same minutes as Nathan Brown he'd have very similar stats. Did you know that? He does the Graham job, but he plays fewer minutes so doesn't accumulate stats.

Ideally, he'd play 50 mins or more, with lazy defenders like Vave and T-Rex and Evans (but ideally someone better) able to play short attacking stints and have Alvaro cover their poor defence. That would give us a very good pack, rather than a good solid one. Alvaro makes 110m off 12 or 13 tough carries, Brown does what he does already and Player X makes 130m off 11 or 12 carries. That's balance.

Are you saying we scored the same amount of tries yesterday as a team with at least 4 origin level forwards and we have none? We got beaten by decisions to take penalty goals or not?
