Probably but say Klemmer is on $800k, if dogs paid $100k and another club picks up the $700k, it frees up $700k to buy players with.

And with that $700k they could add some depth (with some smart recruitment) like we have over the last 2 years;

Brown $200k
Smith $90k
King $90k
KA $90k
Jennings $90k
T. rex $100k

While these players don’t win you a premiership they add depth / competition to the squad.

Dogs may just decide to go down that path as Klemmer is the player most likely to be most in demand.
