My first car was a Datto 180b merkins, top that!!!

Which I still drive

The burgeoning Japanese car company wanted a really good name so they asked the Germans who are known for naming their car companies really well. The president asked a rep from a German marketing company for help. The asked when they needed the final product and the president said, "One week." To which the German replied, "Dat Soon."

You still think forwards are the reason we're struggling. Our kicking game has been atrocious since our first 2 wins. Thursday our forwards were good, like they have been in recent weeks. The problem was even when given a good platform off the back of a Brown 10m+ run with a quick play the ball, Norman still was kicking down Johnston's throat. The best forwards in the game aren't going to do shit if the opposition fullback is fielding kicks uncontested on their 20m line.
The forwards have played strong but there is no creativity in them. And that has been our problem for 5 years now along with our lack of size. Now suddenly Mennings has turned from a renowned defensive centre into a turnstile. What the....?

He's not a turnstile, he's just started making consistently poor decisions. That's about mentality and preparation. With his contract option he is probably focused more on next year at the moment.

It's not creativity either. Brown is a decent passer, Alvaro can offload pretty well, Gower is a good passer, Mau's a decent passer, Edwards was a good passer. The problem is, and is often attributable to our losses, they have no one to pass to, or more importantly no one that the opposition thinks they may pass to. So our forwards get 'monstered'

If you look at the games we won (not sure about Cows game as didn't see it) our forwards actually pass the ball. Once they had the ascendency they pass, trouble is we get dominated too often and the passing goes out the window and we run one out without support. Regards Alvaro he rarely passes but when he does its usually a surprise to the opposition and something comes out of it. He'd be a much better forward if he did it more regularly and judicially once he draws in a few defenders.

The larger problem isn't NOT passing, it's not supporting to draw the eye of defenders, so our runners get dominated, which leads you to assume that we are either too small or not creative enough. To me, it shows one of, or a combo of, being unfit, lack of communication and/or just plain not seeing the opportunities when they arise, perhaps a lack of trust as well (though that probably stems from communication breakdown).
We don't need new players or a new coach. We need a f**king psychiatrist

So make offers with no consideration of the cap ? Good way to put us back a few years, ask dogs and manly how that works!!

I really don't get the hate of our pack for size/skill. Effort and application perhaps. There are smaller forwards than what we have, it's just they work better as a team to overshadow any deficiencies. We ain't. Or rather weren't. It is at least something that has improved as the year has progressed. Still needs a lot of f**king improving but.

I do think a lot of that has to do with the return of Brown. Whom also IMO was relatively shite in the opening rounds.

But yeah we need better kicking, which is mind boggling how far that's gone backwards. Moses & Norman's kicking games were consistently outstanding last year (i.e. too many games to be considered lucky or a favourable draw). This year they're lucking to find the grass on a grubber kick.

Edit - I also pointed it out ages back, you don't want to blow your elite forward (particularly prop) money this year and miss out on a huge amount of off contract talent next year

So what, we won't have any average players that we want to move on coming off contract at the end of 2019?

Jeez you guys can think very narrowly. If a quality player is available and we can sign him now, one that is better then the plodders that we currently have, then we should do it. That is how you improve your squad year on year and the player market will see that improvement and also act favourably. Just staying static, is the kiss of death, as this season has shown us AGAIN.

Boy, are you guys as clueless as BA is? Nothing will change unless we make significant changes. We are currently coming stone motherless last AGAIN, we need quite a few changes. Tinkering around the edges won't change this shit. Especially if we lose one of our playmakers, who I don't think is necessarily the problem.

So if Klemmer’s manager puts it out there, his client is willing to leave for offers of $1 million, BA should consider it?

If mansour was willing to come for $750k, should we consider it?

If cook’s manager said he is ours for $800k, should we consider it?

Those 3 players are all the type of players that wouId make our side better, and those amounts are potentially their market value.

However signing them wouId also stuff our cap up big time and probably cost us a whole bunch of promising juniors. So considerations do need to be make with how our cap is affected.
