You blokes are all talking BS. Why would MJ agree to go to Titans? He joined us to be close to home (Castle Hill) as was sick of driving to training. He'll never agree to Titans as wouldn't want to drive even further with them than Roosters. What about Latu or Cartwright. Both signed for decent dollars at titans and neither making side. Add Peachey and Boyd to the forwards and it looks stacked for 2019.
Id do a straight swap, those 2 for MJ.

Just on Latu he might be a good pickup. Need someone to talk to him to see why not in NRL team. If he misses Sydney would be worthwhile to recruit, and Titans will probably pay some of the freight. However BA showed no interest in him when at Panthers.
You mean compete for the spoon like they have this year? Not talking up anything. You need a good pack before backs. I would rather a junior on wing and piss MJ off if COULD land a quality prop.
Can have QLDS backline. With our forwards you still wouldnt make finals.
Dogs are a prime example of what a good pack with average rookie halves and an average backline can do.

I reckon Gary would gulp it down.Nuthugger craft beer?
If Mennings on $700k as reported and we pay $400k that frees up $300k or 3 juniors in top 30 roster at $100k each. Still a win for us imo and Mennings only has one year to go on his contract anyway so will only affect 2019. For 2020 Mannah should retire so we'll have $1m freed up with him and Mennings extra. But hasn’t Jennings been rubbish this year and part of the reason we are going crap?
While I agreed you can’t be paying to many players to be playing somewhere else (and definitely not for a player over multiple years), letting Jennings go and playing $$250k-$300k and freeing up $500k may be an ok option.
All depends if we have suitable options available.
We already have Salmon on contract, the new Fiji player, plus the young players playing NSW cup (Gl, and the 2 under 20 players Parry/Dunster), thus if they can cover a spot in the backs for bugger all cost, we then have $500k to spend some where else.
Maybe the thinking is the younger players have come on quicker then expected and it’s time to more Jennings on if possible.
Davis is huge and imo he needs to train as a forward to see if he can make it in the NRL, as he won't as a back. Hopefully coaching staff will talk to him about a positional switch. To be fair, I think when as fans we see juniors coming through, we can only judge on aptitude and so we 'rave' about what we see on the field in Flegg, NYC, etc.
The coaching staff however also get to judge on attitude and they make a call also on the ability of the player to do the hard yards that is needed to maintain the aptitude they displayed in the juniors into first grade.
I am not sure what happened to Aufalo and Dargan, however Pauli Pauli, Tanginoa and Davis obviously didn't have the attitude and were all released once it was identified.
Maybe both player A and B think the coach's instructions are shit so try to play their own game. Maybe both player A and B are right which is why we are dead last!Is it possible the player isn’t playing to the coach’s instructions due to the dramas the other is causing in the sheds? If what you’re saying is true, perhaps player A isn’t the only one not playing to the coach’s instructions and he is being given the ball in situations over player B that the coach may not be happy with. If that’s the case player A can’t be working alone unless he is our hooker (which I highly doubt).
Paper talk has little basis in truth. Did the Titans come from the clouds and snatch him from the 3 clubs mentioned or were they the only club actually interested? Why would a player uproot his life in Sydney and go to GC? Has Latu any family there? Additionally the cost of getting back into Sydney property market is prohibitive unless well paid. There was a reason he left Penrith and now a reason he isn't playing well. Any club needs to understand his situation before even thinking of signing him.Maybe BA was interested:
“THE Eels have joined the Knights and Warriors in the hunt for Panthers big man Leilani Latu.
Last week I revealed that ball-playing giant Latu is signed until the end of 2020 but wants out of the Panthers.
In the wake of that, the Eels have jumped in and are willing to match whatever money the Knights and Warriors put on the table.”

But if they aren't playing to the Coaches instructions and we have lost most of our games, wouldn't that point to him being right and them being wrong?Maybe both player A and B think the coach's instructions are shit so try to play their own game. Maybe both player A and B are right which is why we are dead last!
The grass is not only greener, it's also a lot more potent on hindy's side of the fenceDogs are a prime example of what a good pack with average rookie halves and an average backline can do.
