The lack of signing announcements is concerning.

I think once the season is over and the salary cap musical chairs begins, they’ll start to happen.

Watmough's had a lot more success than Graham. That said, I'm sure Graham is subsidised at the Dragons. My point is they wouldn't have paid more than he is worth, whether he is subsidised or not. If we wanted to sign him we would have had to pay at least as much, and I contend we shouldn't have. Graham is a toiler and we already have plenty of those. He was worth more to the Dragons than to us. He was a good signing for them. It doesn't mean he would be a good signing for us.

Did you even read my last post? I am merely stating the type of personality you look for in a leader if you are signing an older player for that reason as BA first stated when he signed Watmough.

It was so he could impart his leadership qualities on the player group as well as his on field abilities, which we all knew were on the decline to say the least. Watmough was never the type of LEADER I would categorise in the class of Graham or Lewis, etc.

All our forwards improved after Watmough signed with us. Arthur knew Watmough from their time together at Manly. I'd say he knew exactly what he was getting. Neither he nor Foran hurt us in the long term, but both provided short term benefits. And as I said, our forwards grew an extra leg after Watmough signed. Might've just been coincidence but.

I think we at least need to wait till the season is over, I mean some players have finals games to worry about let alone where they will be next year

Foran might have played a few reasonable game for The Eels but he was missing immediately he joined for one reason or another. Just my opinion but I sensed he wasnt seen to favourably by the rest of the squad.
I also believe BA must have known of Forans "issues". He just thought he was strong enough to control the situation. Obviously he wasnt.

I also believe BA must have known of Forans "issues". He just thought he was strong enough to control the situation. Obviously he wasnt.

They probably wouldn't sign with Parra would they? We weren't exactly contenders before Arthur joined. But he gave us our best regular season finish since 2005.

I reckon the only person who knew of Forans main "issue" when he signed with us was his wife (and possibly a former team mate). I don't reckon he even knew at that time.

Yep, i really liked him too. I was stoked when we signed him. I never imagined it would end up like it did. I should of known, it's Parra after all....

Poor mental health is not a choice. Subject to responsible rehab, nor are injuries.

I was disappointed that he was not our saviour, however I am reluctant to group him with Todd Carney or even Corey Norman bc I don’t know the full story.
