They would also be required to hold meetings with Andrew Gee in the car park of the Red Hill bowls club at midnight on the first Tuesday of every month.
I tell you what, that Andrew Gee must be good at making lunches or that's his business now since leaving Broncos without a week's notice. Never seen so many players eager to receive their lunches all neatly packed in brown bags.

Twizz is not putting the pencil through a kid's career after watching him twice. I agree that he does not have the build of a modern winger, but his line break stats are very good. Hence why the club think he's worth a go.
Well Parry and Dunster have both been given a run at 18 in reserve grade so I’d say the club both see them as future first graders. And from the little I have seen Hindy is correct. and if Bevan French was a better wing option his form last year couldn’t have been too flash.

Having watched a number of games in lower grades, its hurtful to say it --but Gus111 is correct, Dunster and Parry have much more upside. GL has to improve something like 200% in defence .
Leleisiuao is a superior attacking player (he’s probably already Origin quality in attack) but as you imply, it’s a player’s defensive flaws that keep him out of first grade.

IMO if its his defensive positioning that is letting him down, then that can be fixed pretty quickly. If he does not like the collision then that's more of a problem.

For what it's worth Moses was tackle shy when he came to the club and I reckon we have turned that around.

Exactly, its a coaching problem with GL. It comes down to Arthur and Cayless for not getting hardly any player up to NRL standards in his 5 years here.

Even Semi had huge flaws in his defence. It was his power and speed which saved him most times

Semi’s defence was fine, we play a compressed defence where the centre and or winger is expected to push up out of the line to shut down the attack in a one on one tackle.

However occasionally it can go wrong and make the player look like a poor defencer thus your comment about semi. The majority of the time Semi pulled of the tackle.

This year Mennings was terrible at it, however Gutho in his limited games at centre showed a lot of promise in the defensive structure.

Ah ok, it was also Bellamy’s fault Mitchell Johnston never kicked on too!!

Anyhow Mahoney, salmon, kaufusi and Niukore all looked fairly decent in their debut years but suppose BA had nothing to do with that !!

For wingers I’d say the biggest handbrake is their ability against the kick. This is one area where French is at NRL standard.

Pretty sure he had been promoted last year, because they were talking about him getting a run 17.

Not so sure, while this recent article indicates he wasn’t:

“Separate to the review findings is a backdrop of uncertainty surrounding several of the club’s most important pieces of their 2019 puzzle, including Mitchell Moses, Corey Norman and Jarryd Hayne.

Coupled with that is the club’s desire to promote young forward Stefano Utoikamanu 18, explosive winger Greg Leleisiuao, 21, and hooker Kyle Schneider, 18, who if they impress in the preseason can push for NRL selection.”

GL has to go a long way to get to first grade. Not only the defensive aspect of his game but also fitness, work-rate, and handling. Not sure if I said it last off-season but I expected Parry to overtake him in the pecking order at the end of 2018. I reckon by the end of pre-season that both Parry and Dunster will be ahead of GL for first grade.

I think Kyle will have to have a big year to get into first grade. He hasn't played any Flegg. This isn't a knock against his talent, attitude, or work ethic but things like this just take time, and coming off a shoulder surgery that finished his year it'll take a bit longer.

If he does play even a game of first grade next year that'll be a huge year for him.

Yeah not sure why they wouId want to promote him to top 30 just yet, it’s really a waste of a spot, and it’s pretty risky having 2 rookie hookers in the top 30.

He still has plenty of time.
